Tracey (stewartry) | 3 comments I just stumbled on a number of listings for books under author John Dunning which appear to be someone using Goodreads for listing the stock of their bookstore (somewhat appropriately for the author, I suppose). I edited a couple, until I realized it wasn't just a couple - this one remains:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

The book description reads "Very RARE edition!! UNIQUE offer!! Don’t wait to be OWNER of this special piece of HISTORY!!!"

Is this sufficient grounds to have whoever added this edition - I'm assuming they can be pinned down? - banned from Goodreads? I hope?

There are tens of thousands of these which have been imported by the bot. Many of us wish the bot would be banned!!!

Just mark them Invalid.

That would be wonderful, but unfortunately the culprit is one of the new(ish) import bots that import all sorts of trash from Amazon, and Goodreads seems unwilling to put a stop to these bots.

No problem. How are you going to learn if you don't ask questions?
