Theresa F. | 391 comments While searching for a particular quote in the Goodreads database, I discovered that the database actually lists the quote word-for-word twice, but it is attributed to two different authors. I've included links to the two database entries below, to illustrate what I'm talking about.

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3990...

https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1873...

I wanted to make sure that I 'Like' the entry with the correct author attribution. So my question is, is there a website that Goodreads uses or could recommend that I can use to verify which author the quote should be attributed to?
Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure if we are allowed to recommend websites, sorry. There is at least one site that debunks frequent misattributions/mistakes though.

I have a couple of Penguin quote books I use (occasionally) & I have just acquired a book of New Zealand (my country) quotes.(not used yet)

You could try searching Groups & see if there is a Goodreads group for quotes.
