Msmyrafaye I've had this book for awhile and every time I try to read it I just can't get through it. I have read all of the Alex Cross books and was looking forward to this one but I'm only about a third of the way in. The subject matter is not the issue, I'm just wondering if Cross would have written this type of book. Also, so far from what I've read the lawyer is the central character so why would this be such an important part of the Cross history? I'm guessing I need to keep reading to find out. I definitely think he could move the story along, making the book shorter. I'm gonna keep trying to slog through it during my spare time. I usually finish a Patterson book in a few sittings but I've literally been reading this book for a year. I've read the reviews of people who say how wonderful it is and I just don't get it. Hoping it will get better.

Heather OUt of all the Alex cross books I read..............I found this one the hardest to get through...........I guess since it didn't have the action that his usual books....I could not get in to it. I did finish it.........but it meant pushing myself. Keep with it....set a goal and finish a certain amount each day...before you know it.......you will be finished.

Neta Ramsay I just finished reading this book, and throughout the book I kept waiting for the author to write about Alex Cross (this is an Alex Cross book after all, or so I thought)but it never happened. I'm thoroughly disappointed. I'm not sure now if I want to buy anymore of James Patterson's books...I can't say that the book was such a horrible read, but don't make it an Alex Cross book if there's absolutely nothing about Alex Cross in the book. Take it out of this series!
