Some column names are different from the labels in a book record ("Binding" instead of "Format" and "Number of Pages" instead of "Page Count"), but that's a minor detail.

Update: The last 8 items were removed in mid 2022, but appear in older files.

The last 8 items are a bit of mystery -- from "Recommended For" through "BCID". These items don't show up in book records or edition lists or shelves. I suspect that they're for obsolete, no-longer-supported features.

I think "BCID" might stand for Book Crossing ID. (Book Crossing is mentioned in some very old posts over at Goodreads Help.) But what about the others?

August 10, 2023: Corrected list. The current export file still has an "Owned Copies" column.

Elizabeth (Alaska) My Export file does not include these fields. Perhaps because I never used them?

Mesembryanthemum | 34 comments I did some more research. It turns out that these columns aren't in my 2023 export files, either, but they are in my 2022 files from January to March.

I must have been looking at an older export file when I gathered the column list above.

I think these columns were removed when GR dropped support for multiple features about a year ago. I didn't pay much attention at the time, because I didn't use these items, but I vaguely remember an announcement that users could download the data before it went away. Now I see the connection with the export file changes.

Thanks for the info, Elizabeth! I'll update the list in the first post.
