We've been reading for 7 hours now, at least in theory. How is your readathon going? Are you ready for another hour long reading sprint? What are you reading for this hour?

Our keyword for this hour is COOK.

Now we are deep into our readathon.

I will read The White Mountains, the first of the YA scifi trilogy The Tripods by John Christopher.

The White Mountains (Tripods, #1) by John Christopher

My book for this one is Marlfox, which I may finish this hour, and which has a LOT of food in it, so it conveniently fits the keyword.

I love his tripods novels. I used to reread them a lot as a kid.

I finished Marlfox. I am not thrilled with books that make characters' speech almost impossible to read by trying to render their dialects and speech impediments too accurately, but otherwise this was a fun book, not too cute and not too dark.

I'm good for now. The one I'll need you to unlock is Hour 20, cause I have to cover a shift at our food pantry from hours 17-21. I'll be reading in between checking out customers, but I won't be online for those hours.

Okay then I wait to sleep, continue in with reading. Hour 20 I will unlock. Let me know what else you need me do.
