Same for me. Start date is my bedtime, so I'll grab my first book on Sunday. :)

on the Summary page of our Team Sheet (message 1), the Mods have kindly provided the countdowns for the start of the challenge as well as for all rounds, so you can check there, if unsure. :)

Approx 11 hours to go, give or take a few minutes. :)

Do you already know which book you'll grab first?

Mine will be "Thornyhold" by Mary Stewart as it's the quickest read and will be able to finish in a few hours on Sunday.

Twist will be my first one and then I'll pick up a black cover, though I'm not yet decided on that one.

I want to start . But as it is a big High Fantasy I will need a lighter book to read in parallel. But haven't decided yet.

How did you like Emerald Blaze/Ruby Fever, Kira?
Hidden Legacy (and The Innkeeper series) are my favourites by Ilona Andrews. :)

I loved the series Melinda but felt like the ending was too rushed in the last book especially the last showdown!!

Yeah, they struggled a lot to write that book. Luckily, they found out the issue and managed to "fix" it. But it still felt a little off.

They had some ideas for an Arabella trilogy. But they had to postpone it to keep their sanity in check. Which I totally understand.

Plus they kinda bribed me with more Kate & Curran, so, what can I say.

I'm really curious about their new work in process. They keep saying it's and odd book, that doesn't fit the usual molds so... WANNNNNTING ITTTTTTT... it's still being written. Meh.

I was hoping for an Arabella book or a Maud book, but yeah I read that none of those will be forthcoming for a while. Which I totally get, but ... sigh :)

KD is for those cool and tough readers and I am neither, so I am making progress very slowly. I have been parking by Book 6 for quite a while now. Eventually, I will start reading it. :)

I do think next innkeeper will be a Maud's book though, with something about if they go on with their wedding, something bad will happen, which of course, makes them go on with the wedding, but maybe I got my books all mixed up. I very much doubt so, but their live interviews were some time ago.... sooooo... no promises.

You got it right Sonia about the Maud book, this is what they were planning, but as far as I remember, they decide to delay that b/c inspiration with this new story struck. :)

If book #6 is the one I think, it isn't an easy book to read.

You know, the series gets *really* good after that one. Really, really good.

But, that was also the book that had Ilona say to Gordon in an interview "I will never forgive you" for something that happens on that book. So, yeah, there is that.

Also, I remember it took me TWO DAYS to read it when it first came out. Two loooong days of screaming, kicking, and pleading and whatnot. A lot of cursing also was involved during the reading.
