Am I the only person who stops to run all the French phrases through Google Translate? Now I REALLY want to learn French! Also, does anyone know how many languages Agatha Christie spoke? I seem to recall she was very well traveled.

I've done that with other books.

I took French in school but if I don't recognize the word/phrase I will usually look it up.

Nice, this is one of my favorite Christie novels. I will try to find my copy and join in this month.

Christie spent multiple years of her childhood and adolescence in France, and also had a French nanny, so I suspect her French was quite good. I'm not sure about other languages.

I've just re-read This one, with little idea when I first read it. [I'm guessing that I was a teenager.]
