Richard Dietz | 147 comments Hello fellow readers,

As an author, I've published several works in the thriller, suspense, horror genres. I love horror and so far have touched on these genres in my books:

1. Kidnapping
2. Zombies
3. Deadly Contagion / Virus
4. Multiple Personalities
5. Haunted House
6. Shape-Shifter
7. Evil Spirit / Paranormal

For my next book, what genre would you love to see?
One of the above already mentioned? Vampires? Werewolves? Something I haven't mentioned?

Tell me your top 3 choices. I will tally them up and use these suggestions to inform my next book.

Aria Haunted house is so popular, I think if you give it a good twist to the genre it will do really well like Grady Hendrix!

Maybe this is too broad an idea but what about nature horror, nature turning against humankind. Trees, plants, animals, the weather(?), trying to destoy everything humans have created.

Me too. You should check out my latest novella The Thing That's After Me for my take on the evil spirit. You might enjoy it.
