Ann (annrumsey) | 16931 comments Sherry, all good ones do make for a good month. I lined up Yarros’ Fourth Wing, 20+ hours on audio, for someday soon. Jumping right into the second book confirms you were drawn into that new world. Something to look forward to and perhaps spend one of my expiring credits for the second book.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9486 comments Sherry, your description offline of Fourth Wing and the sequel made me want to read them. Off to see whether I requested them. Glad all your reads were good ones! November is a challenging month to keep the read count up.

edit: 439 holds on the audio! Yikes!
2nd edit: only 139 in the other network. We'll see which comes in first.

they were unputdownable for me. i read both books in 5 days. retirement has it's perks!

Ann (annrumsey) | 16931 comments Very good perks Sherry! (Retirement) Based on the audio lengths (the second Yarros book is 28+ hours!) that was some serious reading. I used a credit for it too.
Carol: I usually steer towards audible for the really long audiobooks since Libby disappears them if I don’t finish in time as you just experienced with Bright Young Women. I get why, but frustrating nonetheless. ;)

I think the total # of pages was about 1100!

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Just wait until you’ve had 25 years or so to practice at being retired. Eventually you don’t have time to do anything.

I was just telling Sherry offline that my copy of the audio came in from the library (totally unexpected given the numbers I mentioned above, go figure) so I started it today. Guess I'd better plan some long walks so I can be sure to get through it in 3 weeks.

There's literally a 6.8 year wait time for my library's ebook copies of Fourth Wing. I hope someone joined the queue, forgets about it, then is confused when a copy becomes available seven years later. 🤣
