What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

So for the life of me I cannot find this book, and have been looking for it for months. I read this *series* years ago, think beginning of COVID on my kindle.

The plot revolves around a large tower that a full society lives in, each with different floors that correspond to a role (for example those that work with the water, farming, etc). There is another role that has something to do with peacekeeping, but they’re called ‘knights’. I also distinctly remember there being some sort of gear that they have, think grapple from the waist (odd, I know).

There is also bracelets everyone has (that aren’t removable), with a number that goes up or down due to contentment or happiness levels. And it goes down when someone begins to question things in the tower, and if it’s below a 3 they get taken to some sort of ‘reformation’ place, to essentially reset them. And if it doesn’t work they get killed.

I remember there being another character, a male, who the fmc chases and finds his number is really low- but he escapes. And soon after she finds him and his number is at an eight already in such a short amount of time. Turns out he took a pill, from a doctor who also knows the truth about the tower’s corrupt leader, and as the series goes on the fmc works with these two and other characters to break free from all of this.

This could very well be YA! Literally would love for anyone to recognise this and let me know 😭🩷🩷
