I switched to the desktop version and this is soo much easier.
I too love badass and snarky FL's. And I'm pretty sure Kai and Paedyn will have that "I have to retort to everything you say with sarcasm" kinda relationship

I just finished reading chapter 10!

I loved the fight scene!! Her dad trained her well!! and it was written well too. I just find the names given to the elites a bit too funny. Brawny and Crawler cracked me up for some reason xD

Same! I like that there are fight scenes so soon in the book, before the tournament even started :D I also like the fact that she saved Kai's ass when he was in serious danger, it was a great way to assess her skills, since his were already demonstrated when he fought his brother. Also I shed a tear when she gave her goodbyes to Adena, I found their relationship really cute and wholesome given their circumstances. As for the Elites' names, I agree that they're quite funny, also they're aptly named x)

Yup, Paedyn saved Kai's ass and that too very gracefully!!Not like some average street brawl. And I have this really bad gut feeling when it comes to Adena coz I feel like the Author put too much importance in their relationship and suddenly I'm just really worried something bad might happen to her :/

Yeah it seems her father really taught her a lot of things in order for her to survive. I feel bad that because of one kind gesture she now gets thrown into a mortal tournament when she only wanted to lie low and help Kai :c You may be right, or perhaps it was just a way to establish Paedyn's character. We'll know in the future chapters I guess

Hey guys sorry I haven’t been active for the past 2 days I was on a vacation and didn’t bring my book. But I agree with what y’all were saying with how she got taught by her father. I can’t wait to hear more banter between Kai and payden tho🤩

In any case, Kitt gives me serious 2nd ML vibes and I was so glad to see Pae is feeling disgusted by him! I'm not into men who flirt with the girl their brother is into just for fun, but I may be too serious when it comes to fictional characters x)

The way Kai's feeling possessive of Pae so early in the story reminded me so much of webcomics, it's kind of cliché but I like it nonetheless x)

And I 100% agree with you @Mehjuba! Like, buddy you're going to be king, the girl is from the slums and your baby brother is into her, you can do better •-•

About Red Queen, I will never re-read that book. It has the most flakiest characters I've ever seen. The characters are poorly written. And The male lead does not know what to do with his heart to the point, I was like "uggh, the second ML is far better than this guy". Not to mention the FL taking a decision and then crying and whining over it.. The melodrama and the whining. Also the love triangle.. Its like we know the ML and FL have feelings for each other and right when we think okay this is it, they're going to confront it, they both realize they've got better things to do!

Its a typical plot with REDs who are poor people with no powers and SILVERS who are people with superpowers live in a shitty society! and basically the reds who don't find a job by the time they're 18 are cannon fodder in the war. The plot had good potential but unfortunately it wasn't developed well. More than anything else what irked me the most was the random stuff that came in during an intense situation. Like someone of importance is dying right in front of you and all you can think about is how you were betrayed! Like you have to read it to understand it. I don't wanna write spoilers here and I'm stressing again about the ML's and FL's interaction which makes you go round in circles :/

I'm okay with love triangles like the one in vampire diaries, but this is the kind where the ML keeps hurting over the fact that he cant get the girl he has feelings for and when he finally does get the chance he's like I have to save the world!!!!

OMG!! I've not ranted like this in ages xD. But there are people who really liked the book as well! This is just my opinion:/

Well that's good to know, thanks! I don't really like love triangles as I often find them frustrating and whiny leads have a way to get under my skin. Like, if you make a decision stick with it Michel•le and stop complaining, you CHOSE it. Plus the "BuT I'm A vIctiM" whining don't sit well with me when there are people literally dying and suffering nearby :/ This books series is definitely a pass for me

I think the worldbuilding in it was okay too. Like I mentioned a book with wasted potential :/

Have you guys read the black mage series? by Rachel E Carter? Its a book I stumbled upon accidentally and I really liked it! Magic school, Cocky Prince, commoner girl who actually works hard to get where she is and not overpowered once she awakens her abilities..like she works really hard to get all the way to the top and the magic in it is explained really well, good world building and really good character development

Also Enemies to lovers - my favourite trope xD

Never heard of this series but the way you presented it makes me want to try it!
