And poor Kai is already falling for her! Unless Paedyn starts liking Kitt there's no chance of a love triangle I guess😶🌫️

Yeah Paedyn seems distrustful of Kitt and not really at ease when talking to him so I hope it stays that way. I envision that he may catch feelings at some point but I don't think she will reciprocate

Yeah he was conditioned to be the future king after all :/ I finished reading chapter 18 and I want to punch Kitt in the face so badly, he is exasperating and I want him to back off
Paedyn and Kai brawling is my favourite thing so far!! Lol and the way Kai baits Paedyn into saying that she wants him xD..and meanwhile dear Kitt - sees the whole thing and still makes a move *facepalm* :/ It's not that I hate Kitt but the fact that Paedyn is disgusted/ angry every time she has to look at Kitt's is just so sad!and yes he is starting to get on my nerves. I feel like the minute he knows of Paedyns truth, he'd probably throw her in prison without listening to what she has to say! :(

I loved the brawling between the two and the banter in-between, love kitt for being nice and respectful but you saw your brother and know that he has some attachment to her, let him be with paedyn already!
The brawling between the leads was *chef kiss*, I love how Paedyn wanted to win and didn't hesitate to punch his groin, whereas Kai mostly wanted to fight her without hurting her xD And Kitt seems like a genuinely nice guy but I can't get over the fact that he just asked her to be his partner... When he saw her and Kai fighting each other just some time before, like come on buddy... have some self-respect :/
I'm on chapter 20. Kitt is a genuinely nice guy but at this point I don't know if he's simply clueless! Chapter19 again is the exact same thing that happened in Red Queen but Lauren Roberts has written it sooo well!!! I was like aaacckk my heart!! but at the same time I was like ugghh shes going to the dance with Kitt. Can't wait for you guys to get to chapter 20. Poor Kai can't keep his eyes off of her xD
Also, I saw Lauren Roberts' instagram story today and this was her debut novel. She wrote it when she was 18 T_T !!!
I read the beginning of chapter 19 and I'm so excited to finish it! At least being Kit's partner gives Paedyn a chance to get closer to Kai and I love it :D And gosh she was so young, Robert really is an impressive author :o

Sorry, I didn't read anything for the last few days as I've been busy with school and homework :/ But I intend to read chapter 19 till 22 today
I just finished chapter 22 and I have thoughts. Firstly, I was so happy to read about Paedyn and Kai dancing together and being worried about each other during and after the attack I was nearly giggling and kicking my feet xD Alas, Kitt was here again. I like that he seems to realize that Paedyn isn't really at ease when around him, but he blindly believes the narrative pushed by his father about how the Ordinaries are diseased and dangerous for Elites. And that as Elites have powers, they are therefore naturally superior to Ordinaries and more deserving to live than them
Hey guys! sorry for the late reply been busy with school and work all that jazz. but I've read up to chapter 23 and I'm loving the interactions between kai and paedyen and kai calling her darling? I'm an 100% kaixpaedyen shipper. sorry kitt but your brother just does it better.
Heyy!! The dance!!! and the attack afterwards! and poor Kai slumped on the floor T_T!! And I'm terribly disappointed at Kitt for blindly believing what his father has been saying! Like bruh!! Imagine his reaction when he finds out Paedyn's an Ordinary! Will he still think her disease made him weak!? I felt bad for Paedyn when Kitt mentioned that :(
Also I kept seeing this really amazing fanart of Paedyn and Kai popping up on pinterest! Its the banquet scene with Paedyn in the silver dress!
Also I love how Paedyn was immediately at ease when her dancing partner changed to Kai :)

Hey! Not a fan of the darling-thing but their interactions are so fun to read! I like their banter and the way they try to restrain their growing feelings for each other :D Plus I took a look at some fanarts (thanks @Mehjuba for bringing their existence to light) and they are awesome!
As for Kitt, he seems to have no desire to think for himself about the issues plaguing his kingdom... He just accepts them as if they're needed and if he finds out Paedyn is an Ordinary I don't think he will not stab her in the back :/ Still I'm glad Paedyn found out that there is a resistance group and want to learn more about its members and possibly join them, like yass queen go overthrow the king xD

This reminds me of the series the cruel prince. i havent read the black mage series but after that lil summary it gives me the same vibes. like the cruel prince has the cocky prince, and human girl in a fae world doing whatever she can to get what she deserves (aka power), and she actually does well in power and doesnt freak up the fae world by one stupid decision
