That thought reminds me of "Death Becomes Her" personally, a good 80 years are fine by me.
I don't know if I really foresee people living to be *that* old. The body is a fragile organism as it is, and most of my still-living grandparents, while pretty okay mind-wise, are losing control over their bodies."About 80 percent of all Americans over the age of 100 are women and most of them gave birth to children after age 40." This is pretty fascinating.
In Buddhism, it is believed that humans will eventually grow older and older and get larger and larger, fully losing the Dharma until Maitreya arrives. I don't actually know if this belief is fully practiced, because most of us sense it is a long way off due to the nature of humans that is described in some of the texts (we're 8 feet tall on average, for instance :P).
Interesting...what do people think? What are the implications?
