[boo..."
I'm going to say yes. There's no reason to think they wouldn't be edible. (Just checked the spreadsheet and realized all the spaces for this task are full now)

Moving over from previous page...
5 Point Tasks
📌 Title (including subtitle) includes all the letters CORNUPIA (no need to duplicate C and O)
📚 Lavender (Alien Earths...)
📌 Set in Peru, Panama, Colombia or Venezuela (or combination of them to reach the 50%)
📚 Megan (One Hundred Years...)
📚 Ann (It Would Be a Night in Caracas)
3 Point Tasks
📌 Book set in Crete
📚 Ann (The Crimson Thread)
📚
📚
📌 Book set in Idaho
📚 Deanna (Two Wicked Desserts)
📚 Annalisa (Rumor Has It)
📚 Michelle's Empty Nest (Cover of Night)
📌 Author's name has a diacritic (Cornucopia was a concert tour for Björk. yes, it's tenuous, but go with it anyway!)
📚 Ann (A Proposal They Can't Refuse)
📚 Michelle's Empty Nest (Abigail)
1 Point Tasks
📌 Read a book with a orange cover
📚 Ann (Mad Honey)
📚 Aiswyra (Her Deadly Game)
📚
📌 Word in title is hiding a different smaller word (of at least four letters) inside it (not the singular form or verb tense differences) - examples LimonCELLO; THINg; wereWOLF (or indeed WEREwolf); HUNGer but NOT GAMEs (as that's the singular/plural)
📚 Jill (This Summer Will Be Different)
📌
Here are our current remaining mini tasks based on the planning spreadsheet this morning. If you're working on a book for any of the open tasks, please post here so we can coordinate what we're reading.

No probs if that task has been completed, I’ll concentrate on the Alien Earths book then 🙂

To earn BR discussion points for The Hunger Games the book must be finished and at least three posts of actual discussion need to be made during Round 1.
The BR discussion thread will remain open and please continue to discuss as long as you'd like. The mods will put a post in the thread stating something to the effect of "posts beyond here no long count towards Book Games discussion points". So it will be clear when the window for points has closed.

Team spreadsheets must be finalized by captains one hour after the close of Round 1.

Ann, when you have a chance can you post a link to your challenge shelf please. You can add any books started since the beginning of the challenge on the 15th of May.

I've read Circe in the past, and although it wasn't the book for me, I think if anyone likes Greek mythology that it's a good one to try! It has great reviews.

Yeah this new one could be a tricky one!

Less than 48 hours to go for Round 1!
Please make sure all of your finished books are up to date on the tracking spreadsheet by Friday. I'll get everything added late Friday after work.
The Round 2 tab is ready for books to be added if you need to move books that won't be finished until the next round.

I gave it 5 stars. It was really good but it does have a lot of very sensitive topics. (transgender, suicide, domestic violence)

Got it, thank you!

I finished Bones on Ice by Kathy Reiches.

Make sure you are accessing the Tracking sheet. You should have access to it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

The mods have given us the go ahead to start the planning phase of the next mini. We're facing off against team 11.
Our title is: The Travelling Cat Chronicles
Does anyone have a book with a title that starts with LES that they will be able to finish reading between June 22-28?

Lessons in Chemistry works, but I’ve read it and as much as I loved it, I generally don’t enjoy re-reading literary fiction. But, if it’s on anyone’s TBR it’s an option.

Books must be started and finished between June 22-28
1. Michelle's Empty Nest (Lessons in Chemistry)

The winning team will be either:
- the team to make the last completed strike, if not all 20 books (across both teams) are read; or
- the team with the smallest number of overlap letters in their strikes, if all 20 books are read; or
- if there is a tie for number of overlap letters, a coin toss will be made by a neutral mod to decide the winner.
So assuming both teams read all the books, having a smaller number of overlap letters is the next way to win.

Eadan's Vow"
oh woww lol! Happy to read it! Unless you'd like to? We need to read 20 books I think, so we're going to have to read more than 1 each.
