I listened to it in March and second Tricia’s sentiment. Also if people like audio books, the audio was well done

Lexi | 4254 comments I'm also within the 6 month re-read period but if anyone wants to volunteer to write DQs for the book, I am willing to help if that would be useful for anyone. Also, the backroom BOM usually gets fewer volunteers for DQs so it is a great opportunity for points.

I just volunteered, I've never written questions so if I get picked I'll definitely take you up on the help.

Lexi | 4254 comments Sofie, you appear to have read a different cover version of Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries than the one with three food items on the cover. Does it work for another mini task?

You have this one shelved: Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries (Emily Wilde, #1) by Heather Fawcett

Sorry about that! I have the UK edition of Emily Wilde's encyclopedia at home (while a map of the other worlds is in the US edition that the bookstore released two months earlier). If I could, I would send a photo, but I don't think that good reads are that advanced...

Sofie | 81 comments How do I change the edition? I just realized that I don't know how to do that...

message 265: by Lexi (new)

Lexi | 4254 comments Sofie, you just need to shelf the correct edition. If you have a different cover than the black cover, then change the edition on your shelf so it matches. You should always shelf the version you are reading.

Go to you shelf, click edit next to the correct book (over the far right) then click change edition under the title and author at the top of the page is the easiest way

I planned on it. So far I have been reading and adding in groups rather than adding after every individual finished book. But they will be added along with my other finished ones soon. Thanks 🙂

I appreciate all the work you guys do! And I have been known to miss one every once in a while so there's no harm in checking. I'm about to add my finished books now 🙂

Tricia (books2hooks) | 479 comments I'm reading A Botanical Daughter on audio - if someone has a digital copy of it, could you check if it has the words harvest or abundant/abundance in it? I feel like it should - it's so lush and full of plants and flowers - but I am terrible about noticing specific words while listening.

We are trying to get our hands on a digital copy.

We tried the previews/look inside but those are only partial sections you can search (like 50 or 75 pages).

If someone's library has an available digital copy though, give a shout!

message 275: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) It says abundantly in it but I can't get a page number. books.google.com has a preview but no page numbers.

Thank you for checking!

unfortunately that's the wrong form of the word. It needs to be either abundant or abundance :(

I'm hoping one of those (or harvest) in a section not part of the preview.

Finding words in audiobooks is hard. The struggle is real.

It's on your shelf now, but doesn't have a read date. I think goodreads is just being mean to you at this point.

Could you add a read date when you get a chance? thank you! Sorry for all the trouble

My library doesn't have a digital copy and I think the wait at Lexi's was like 6 weeks or something. I think she was going to check a few other places she's got access too.

Not going to lie, I blew up the cover in the hopes a rhinoceros beetle or something was hiding in all those plants to work for horn on cover. No dice. Oh well.

I would take that as a type of farm, if it's not just a hobby farm but he's selling for a business. Flowers farms are real things.

Thank you so much for telling me. I'm sorry for not making a message about it having it on there before and for not having the read dates on there.

Goodreads drives me absolutely nuts. It took me forever to work out how to hide spoilers. This is why I use Storygraph for normal tracking and Goodreads whenever I do a reading challenge.

Exactly, which is why I still think it might qualify as a farm, but want to be up front about it so we don't break any rules.

Captains had a mini conference and decided it works for a farm.

Floriculture is included in the USDA (US Department of Agriculture) definition of special crops, so are nursery crops. As he sells them as plants, we decided it works for farm.

I went ahead and added to a farm task
