At the end of the day you should do whatever feels right. If you really can’t stand it then let it be regardless of the length of the book :))



back in 2019 i bought a copy of hesse's demian, and did not like it at all, i found it boring and dull, but then, 2/3 years later i picked it up again and now it's one of my all time favorites!
i'm new to goodreads so idk if dnf-ing is a permanent thing, but books are meant to bring you joy, so if they don't, then maybe now is just not the right time to be reading that particular book. and if you're meant to read it, it will pop back up somehow eventually!
