No idea what's going on here, but saw Team Challenge and had to sign up. :) Now we have to wait till May...

My shelf: Battle of the Gods Celtic

When will the reading for this challenge begin? and can books only be used if they're started after the challenge begins? Also is there a points score thing (the rules were a little vague, but I love team challenges so I just signed up).

That's my confusion too. For 20,000 points we'll be spelling that one word a whole lot.
Do we spell it as a team or individually?
Yes you spell the word as a team and I will be posting mini challenges through out the game to earn your team points
Hi Team! Can't wait to start this seems like it's going to be fun :)

Celtic Mythology:
https://www.goodreads.com/search?utf8...

I was looking through my bookshelves and my kindle and I have 22 series that deal with some kind of god or goddess so I think I have lots to read for this challenge :)

It might be helpful if you'd list those series or provide a link to a shelf some of us (me particularly) could use the help. :)

OK here is what I have after looking at my bookshelves.
(Note: I'm listing the Series name and Author,I'll also post a cover of each first book)
:Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
:Covenant by Jennifer L. Armentrout
:Mythos Academy by Jennifer Estep
:Medusa Girls by Tera Lynn Childs
:Abandon by Meg Cabot
:The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout
:Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne
:Nikki Glass by Jenna Black
:Starling by Lesley Livingston
Antigoddess: by Kendra Blake
: Valkyrie Rising by Ingrid Paulson
:Runes by Ednah Walters
:Call of Crows by Shelly Laurenston
:Descendant Prophecies by Mary Ting
:Everneath by Brodi Ashton
:The God Chronicles by Kamery Solomon
:Vicious Deep by Zoraida Cordova
:Touch of Death by Kelly Hashway
:Gods & Monsters by Kelly Keaton
:Wildefire by Karsten Knight
:Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
:Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
:Sons of War by Lia Davis
(Note: I'm listing the Series name and Author,I'll also post a cover of each first book)

If I come across anything more I'll post it here for everyone :)

Eternal Guardians by Elisabeth Naughton also focuses on the Mythology genre.

I have several of those series you posted, Kat on my TBR list as well :)
Btw. I know absolutely nothing about the Celtic mythology. I have the Iron Druids on my TBR list - so maybe this will be the time to read it. The mythology I know most about is the Norse, as I grew up with tales about Odin, Thor and Freja - and now the Greek after reading different books about it recently.

Thanks. I have heard of (but never read) Rick Riordan as an author vaguely. But every other book and author you listed is completely new to me. It looks like I have a lot of research to do.

I'll look through my books and see if I can find some more stories that centers around mythology.

I don't think the books we read have to deal with Mythology we just get more points if they do :)

This is what Lizz wrote in the Book Verification Thread.
Ok I am thinking I am going to let it be about any gods not just the ones in the battle. So if you read a book that has the Native American gods in it you will get the 50 points
I'm assuming this goes for all other gods as well

NO. only the books for the bonus points have to be about mythology. All other books can be any genre.

according to the FAQ section, we just keep spelling the same word over and over again. If we spell it as a team, we get 100 points in addition to the per book points. If we spell it individually, we only get the per book points.
20,000 points is huge, we're going to have to spell shapechanger 50+ times.
ETA: According to Lizz, "each team spells out their power but each book you read and doing the mini challenges will count to points also. "

2. We have to finish each word before we move onto the next one.
Per Lizz - "Each teammate contributes to the word and once the word is done you get 100 points and then your team can try and spell it out again for another 100 points and so on"

We probably need to do something like this too. Anyone know how?

I haven't a clue about spreed sheets, sorry :(
So how are we going to handle this, are we going to assign letters say each week or are we just going to wing it.
I'm overly obsessed with planning things out ahead of time, I'm a planner and a list maker that's just a tiny bit of my OCD kicking in :)
oh any idea who is the captain? I didn't see anything posted anywhere
