Carole-Ann (blueopal) | 145 comments A quick check on fantasticfiction.com shows he wrote 7 mystery books in the "Tres Navarre" series between 1997 & 2007.
He began the "Percy Jackson" series in 2005; the "Kane Chronicles" & the "Heroes of Olympus" series both in 2010.

So, his type of stuff is usually classed as Fantasy/Young Adult (the fantasy including the mythology) with an early side-line of Murder-Mystery

His books are generally classified as YA or MG fantasy.

He does have a full adult fiction detective book series that I quite liked (see above).
