I was confused I thought he was like 30 or something! I think it takes to long to tell us he is only two years older!
(Also I think he was uglier in the book than the movie)

If you're talking about the movie, then he Definitely didn't gave an 18 y/o vibe. And even in the book, he for a minisecond felt a bit older.

No, i thought he was older than her but by no more than a couple of years. I wouldn’t have described Four as older, but more hardened
