I think it partly depends on your mood and expectations going into it. I hope you both love it.

i actually read it years ago, before 2014 when I joined GR. At the time I was reading a lot of Crouch, Konrath and Kilborn books with my son who was in middle school and had to read for his English class. I am sure I loved them all partly because doing anything with a middle school aged son is a treasure. I do also love horror so there's that.
When it popped up on NetGalley, I grabbed it before i realized I had already read it.
I am going to follow to see how you like it.

I have 3-4 day time constraints on what I'm reading now so I have to finish them before I start Run!

I was feeling bad about my 3 stars, but felt like I couldn't really give it more. Especially with the ending. (view spoiler)[ It was such a cop out, the kid just stops and says, hey we're done now let's go back for mom? Still shaking my head over that one. (hide spoiler)]

I agree with your review. It started to feel repetitive. I was definitely ready for it to be done.

Finally started it. Turns out I own the previous publication of the ebook. lol. 10% in. Feels like (view spoiler)[the M. Night Shayamalan movie, The Happening, so far. lol (hide spoiler)]

I finished yesterday. I gave it 3 stars. It was very repetitive and the sentence structure was annoying. And the ending was not good!

The ending... 🙄😑
