How does the call work in this group?
The mods will add your character to a private list we have that determines when your character will be called. It will be random, and you will not know beforehand. Keep an eye out for announcements about who's being Called!

Yes, it's based off a book! It can be confusing, and a lot of information, so no worries! You don't have to read the book to understand though- I'm the only one of the mods who have lol

wait so if a student survives the call, then they will leave the school and go back to their parents or…?
also what exactly happens during the call?
oh and how do you roleplay a sidhe? I’m a bit confused 🤪
sorry for all these questions, my brain is still fazing from studying and reading a book that just broke me 😭

to answer the first question, yes
during the call they student will be dropped somewhere in Faerieland and will have 24 hours in Fae time to live and flee the Sidhe, and if they are caught before 24 hours, they are killed
And as for roleplaying a Sidhe, you don't have to sign up yet! It's a bit trickier, but you basically play the fae that's chasing the called whenever it's necessary. One of the mods will be the Sidhe for the first Call so everyone can see what it'll be like!

I think I already asked this but I cannot find it…
What exactly does the court do?

can sidhe have relations such as twins? or no? like where they have a twin (blood or not)? also, how many sidhe can be sent out at a time to “give chase”? one, two, three? can they travel in packs or do they go solo?

oh also (sorry for all these questions i keep coming up with more), how often is it that sidhe get killed or brutally injured from the survivors? i would assume that there isn’t any medical compartments because they’re more like twisted mammals.

are sidhe able to appear as animals such as bears, pumas, kangaroo, or even sea creatures and birds? do they still have any human features left?

what about neurological thought processes? what do sidhe think? CAN they think? are their movements jerky or faulty?

how can mental illnesses affect not only survivor’s performances, but sidhe’s?

when someone “teleports”, are any accessories and such left in their place? example: earrings, bracelets, etc. also, do they completely disappear, or does their body physically get injured while still visible? (what i mean by this: when someone teleports, do they have a physical embodiment in both worlds that visibly gets more bloody and dirty despite appearing untouched, but is unconscious? kind of like a soul thing.)

is technology in this? like phones and computers and stuff like that
And a bit similar to howler’s question, but if say my character had a necklace on her before she was called, would the necklace be there during the call or not? Because I can imagine my character trying to hide weapons

howler's questions:

1. it's possible they can, but it's not relevant.
2. Yes, whole packs often go out to chase the Called
3. They can get injured, but it's not common. You'd have to do it with a more long range weapon, because if they get their hands on you, you're dead
4. they have vaugly human features, and they are not 'shapeshifters' in the typical sense, but more of tricksters with temporary plays in the mind, human imitations, etc
5. they 're very gremlin like in thinking. they're smart, yes, but not in the sophisticated way we think. they don't have much of a social structure- they're intelligent, but only in the way that is useful to them- hunting people. other than that, they're more insane
6. when they are called, it's their entire body that is summoned, except for accessories and things. in the book, it's only their body, no clothes or anything, but for the purposes of this rp, they still have their clothes to keep things more appropriate because they're children

2. no. it would be left behind. the point is so they have nothing to fight back with except what they make there, hence weaponry class

so if they had a weapon inside their pockets, that would also disappear?

you cannot be called more than once, and yes multiple people can be called at the same time

would it be possible to make a bodyguard/mercenary type character for the court?

hmm, maybe, but I don't see how it would be utilized, since there's not direct contact with the sidhe, except for the kids called

ah, no that's okay, understandable. would there be mercenaries just in general? unrelated to the court? (i'm lazy and i already have a mercenary character i want to copy over xp)

one last question (for now at least), a normal member of the court, what exactly would they be doing?

I can discuss it with the other mods for sure!

and the regular court members are employees of the higher ups. So, say if one regular court member works under the archeology sector, then they'd be an employee of the head one and do digs and inspections of old sidhe relics and such things, then report back
