⊹ ࣪ ˖ Camp Half Blood - Active Roleplay ˖ ࣪ ⊹ discussion

As many as you can keep active :)

Mods, I'm so sorry. I've never done a half-blood rp so this is going to be a lot of simple questions that I'm too stupid to figure out myself.
1) What is the minimum age of kids at camp half-blood? What is the maximum age?
2) Is there a limit to the OCs I can make? (I believe I saw no but I want to double check)
3) Because these characters are demigod due to their godly parent, I've seen some members giving their characters magical weapons/abilities similar to their parents. What is the limit to ensure no OP characters or unrealistic abilities?
4) How do kids end up at camp half-blood? Do they receive a letter? Get sent by a parent? Get kidnapped and placed there?
5) I'm an idiot who might need the lore of the world. I have the simple stuff down but I might need a general explanation of threat/wars/tensions.
6) What is the lore between different demigods that are half-siblings? Obviously it won't all be the same, but would they be connected because of blood or fight each other for their parents attention?
7) What is the presence of the gods like? Do they visit the camp often? Only rarely? Are they just out to get milk?
That's all I have for now. I pray for you that I don't have anymore cause that is painfully a lot of questions <3

Aaaaaaand I thought of one I missed. *sigh*
8) Are there any mythical creatures? If so, what (to an extent ish)? And can they be kept as pets?
i can only answer 1 lol
2. There’s no limit! As long as you can manage all of yours that’s fine
For the others i also haven’t read/watched pjo so would be nice to acquire the answers too <3
1) I think (correct me if I'm wrong) the minimum age, just for RP purposes but in the actual book there isn't one, is 12-13, I don't know the maximum, but I can get back to you on that
2) As Aelin said no there is not
3) Theres is no limit, but we ask to keep them realistic. Use basic powers from the god, nothing fancy where they can't get hurt, etc. The book's main character, Percy, controls water, to an extent, so something along the lines of that. Loki kids can shapeshift, Zeus kids can control lighting, Demeter kids can have plant-based powers, etc.
4) Most campers get found by satyrs, then they get taken to camp and train to fight against monsters in the real world.
5) Mostly its fighting against monsters, maybe minor/major gods, but there arent wars, especially in our universe where all the demigods are at CHB. There are quest, where usually 3 campers go out and kill a monster, or kind something, just do something for a God.
6) Usually half-siblings stay together. People have been asking how relationships work, and the general rule is you can get with anyone who isn't your half-sibling, doesn't matter the relationship of your godly parent, keep it away from half-siblings. There is rivalry within the cabins, nothing major just dislikes and whatever.
7) They aren't there most of the time. The gods are not present 90% of the time, though they do show up, or leave a sign, to claim their children. In the RP you will need to request the use of a god, and a mod will rp as them
8) THere are many, satyrs, dryads, nymphs, niads, etc. Theres a dragon protecting the Golden Fleece. Im not sure if they can be kept as pets, but you can always friend a squirrel or deer in the woods surrounding the camp
4) some of my oc’s stumbled upon camp, were brought by a satyr, or their parent ( mortal or godly ) told them to go there! its entirely up to you :)

So I've never read the books, but I'm tempted to pick them up if I find a chance. Does anyone know where I should start and what order to read them in because I see different series titles and stuff and it's kinda overwhelming.
Hi! So broadly speaking, you have Percy Jackson + The Olympians, followed by Heroes of Olympus and then Trials of Apollo.
They are all spin-offs each other, but you would start with Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, and then the rest of that series, followed by the rest
There is also a series which is in the same universe called Magnus Chase which I recommend also. It is Norse Gods and very good.

I see no reason why they would be unavailable to roleplay, I would say go for it and make your character and if they are suitable they will be approved :)
As for Godrent list we have all the cabins in topics and you can find them all here:

Hope that helped!
Yes, the powers are related to the godly parents. Don't make your character all-powerful because that just ruins the fun!
But, if it is a satyr, for example, they could have the power of enchantment with their flute for example.
If they were a child of Apollo, for example, maybe they have the power to forsee the near future (but only in certain situations).

If you make your character and we find them too powerful, we will advise you to make changes. But that sounds fine right now

Oh yes, I know Aristaeus. That is very niche, I've only really read some things about him, and that too, everything is very vague and unclear. But, yes, I will make a cabin for him.
