He looked up, surprise and relief on his face

"You passed out" he said, "Are you okay?"

He let go of her hand, not remembering grabbing it. "That's good"

He nodded, watching her

"Just making sure you're okay."

"Alright that's good."

"Why not?" he shrugged

He waited for another question

"Alright," he said, "You stay safe, alright?"

He nodded, disappearing into the shadows

Carly pushed open the door to the infirmary and surveyed the area.

Jake walked in after her. "I just can't seem to stay away from this place."

She laughed and shook her head. "What do you mean?" She saw a kid with a broken leg. She ate an oreo and put her hand to his leg absorbing his pain as she healed it. She winced as she felt a sharp pain in her leg but ignored it as she kept walking.

"I've been here many times.. from quests and stuff you know?"

"Ohhhh." She laughed, rolling her eyes as she healed a broken arm. She was a bit light-headed but shrugged it off.

"I always thought that was cool." He said watching her heal another person.

"Me healing people?" She healed a kid's broken thumb, wondering how a person broke his thumb. She shrugged it off, deciding not to judge.

"Yeah, it's a great power to have."

"Sure. If only I didn't get tired so fast." She staggered a bit, shaking her head.

He looked concerned. "Maybe you should sit down."

She looked around and waved her hand. "It's fine. There's still more people to heal."

"Okay, whatever you say."

She took a deep breath as she started healing a badly burned boy. Her skin became very hot and she grit her teeth until she was done. "Maybe sitting down is a good idea?"

He laughed. "Yeah, don't say I didn't tell you."

She rolled her eyes and slumped down in a chair, grabbing a bottle of water and chugging it, attempting to settle her own body temperature. When it didn't work, she shrugged and said,"There aren't any more severe injuries. I think we can go?"

"Sure, back to the cabin? Or where?"

She thought for a moment and said,"I dunno. You can choose?"

"Okay, the cabin it is."
