"A cabin with just you and someone else? Sounds amazing," he frowns slightly, trying to imagine what it would be like to share a cabin with only one person. "I don't think I'd manage though. I'd rather it be loud than dead silent. It would just be awkward in the end." Alpo liked his silence, and did indeed want his cabin to be quieter. But just not two people by themselves quiet.
"As far as I'm aware, yeah. Just the two of us," she nods. Recently, though, it'd just been her. Her brother was... somewhere. She hadn't seen him in months. Most of the times, she was at her cabin for a few hours at most. It could get lonely.
Anastasia nods in agreement, "Oh, totally! That's why I smuggled a music player in. Adds great background noise to the cabin," she says. While phones and computers were banned, she managed to bribe a Hermes kid to lend one of their mp3 players. (She still hadn't given it back.)

His mind drifts to all the songs he would play if he could get his hands on a music player. Maybe he could go to the store sometime and buy a record player. He certainly didn't have the money, but surely Mr. D would let him leave camp to get a part time job. "Now I'm really starting to miss having a phone. Would make everything easier."
( im so sorry omg )
"Yeah!" She exclaims. "Wind chimes are good too, but I don't think they can make Queen or The Smiths," Annie chuckles. "I never had a phone, actually." Her foster parents wouldn't let her. Whether that was because of the monsters or her family, she didn't know.
The rain didn't seem like it would let up anytime soon, but she didn't mind. She enjoyed talking to Alpo.

His gaze turns to the door where Mr. D and Chiron were supposedly talking about his punishment, a frown tugging on his lips. Surely it shouldn't take that long to decide how many extra chores he needs to do. But, it was fine. He had company, so everything was fine.
She shook her head, "No, I haven't... I'm kind of glad, though. I've seen some pretty serious screenagers out there," she breathes out a laugh.
Anastasia followed his eyes, "Oh! They're still talking, aren't they? Hopefully it's nothing too serious," She spots a pacing Chiron and a director with his feet propped up, soda in hand.

// i mean.. i'm down

Alpo looks over at the door, frowning. "Yeah, still talking. I don't know why, it's not like I did anything crazy bad. Just extra chores and stuff around camp would be perfectly fine." He runs a hand through his hair, looking agitated at the fact they were still talking.
"Something my foster parents used to say," she waved her hand away, laughing at his comment.
"Maybe they'll put you on bathroom duty for an entire month," Annie said, snickering at her joke. "Or even worse, cleaning the stables!" She shook her head, just as Chiron walked out, hands held behind his back. Mr. D. had a smug look on his face. Anastasia sat up.
"Alpo, Mr. D. and I have come to a conclusion onto your punishment. Earlier this morning, we had to Iris message Hades..." Anastasia felt as though she should leave, the conversation taking a turn. "You see, there is a special medicine we need for one of our campers here. Hades, with all do respect, doesn't want to bring that item here. So--"
"So we need a camper to go down and get it for us. You, my friend, are our lucky winner!" Dionysus continued. "And who better to take with you than the daughter of a pain god?"

Listening to Chiron explain what was happening, he was already stressing out. Hades mentioned in a sentence was never good, especially when it came to a punishment. Yet, he could feel his face drop when he hears Mr. D tell him the true reason. "What? Are you kidding me? You're sending me down to the Underworld because I fought some kid?"
Alpo's brows furrow, glancing over at Anastasia. He looks back at Mr. D and Chiron. Letting out a huff of exasperation, he slumps back into his seat.
Anastasia's heart plummeted. The underworld? Seriously? She had done nothing except talk to him, and she was being roped into this. As upest as she was, she took deep breaths. She could survive there, but Alpo? They had just met, and she knew he didn't deserve this. It was a simple fight, and the gods were having him do their work.
"Chiron, surely that can't be fair! A quest has to be given by the orac--"
"And it has, my lady," he interrupted. "You are to leave at dawn tomorrow morning, first thing. The closest entrance to the underworld is in central park. I wish you luck, young half-bloods. We will see you tomorrow morning." Chiron trotted off into the rain, towards what seemed to be a fire started in the craft hut. Anastasia gave a saddened look to Alpo.

Alpo didn't speak, not even when Chiron left. He hides his face in his hands, titling his head to the ceiling. This had to be some sick prank. Why couldn't another Hades kid go? Why couldn't anybody else go? Why did the oracle have to give a quest now of all times. He looks drops his hands off his face, looking at Anastasia from the corner of his eye. "I'm sorry you got dragged into this."
The more she thought about it, the more the words sunk in. The underworld. What did they need that was even there? How would they find out? There were so many... things down there that could cost them their life. Anastasia's mind raced, dragging a hand down her face.
When Alpo apologized, Anastasia looked up. "Oh, Alpo, no, don't be sorry. The punishments insane and unfair, but... I'm getting cabin fever from being in this camp for so long. It'll be a good adventure, and...We'll get whatever the camper needs," she sighed.

"Yeah.. a good adventure. As long as one of us doesn't die." Alpo felt similar when it came to cabin fever, he was losing his mind being stuck in one place for so long. But going to the Underworld to get rid of cabin fever wasn't.. ideal.
"Neither of us will die, Alpo. We just have to stick together," she said. Stay positive, she reminded herself, stay positive and it'll be okay. "I'm going to go to my cabin and um-- Get my things. Should we meet somewhere..?" Anastasia asked, her voice full of uncertainty.

"Right," she confirms. She watched Alpo intently, watching as his emotions washed over him. What if she hadn't shown up here? Would this still have happened? Her thoughts swarmed her, only realizing Alpo had begun speaking again. "The hill? Yes, yeah. Chiron said dawn, so um..." She stood up. The rain had lightened up a bit, which was somehow a relief. "I'll see you soon, I guess."

Anastasia couldn't get a word out before Alpo dashed out. Her stomach twisted in knots. Alpo was far, yet Anastasia still called out. "Right, I'll see you then!" Her voice croaked, awkward and uncertain. Her fingers ran anxiously through her hair as she began to make her way back to her cabin.
( sorry for late reply! countinue at the hill? )
( sorry for late reply! countinue at the hill? )

// if we're talking late reply.. this is a PRETTY late reply. sorry about leaving you hanging so long!! a lot of stuff started happening at once, and I meant to respond but kept forgetting. If you're still down, we can always continue at the hill!
"Well, my cabin is always open. It's just me and my brother, and he's not around much, so..." She trailed off, shrugging. "No use wasting a comfortable bed, especially considering your cabin situation," she flashed a brief smile to him.
