Taya Fosmire (bibliotaya) | 41 comments Hi fellow readers!

This is my second time participating in the Dewey's Readathon -first was many years ago- but I am excited to be back.

For this second hour, seeing as we are all just getting started still with the readathon, I am curious to know what your plans/goals are for the day.
I personally am filming a youtube video and playing different "games" to select my next reads throughout the day. I'll have a few things come up that take me away from reading but I am eager to succeed in making it through the whole 24 hours

I hope to find a good balance between reading, posting, sleeping, and moderating. It is challenge that keeps the old brain firing. Dewey's helps my brain feel younger, more capable ⭐

Katherine Hayward Pérez | 61 comments My plan is to just relax as much as possible because I took part in a virtual event called The Write Anyway Summit and I am satisfied with the videos I saw there and with what I learned but I am tired from that and so I just want to enjoy the book(s) I pick. Good luck with your video and day

I'm also trying to incorporate youtube videos into my readathon plans this time, trying to make short updates, which is tricky for me, as I tend to ramble and my usual videos run pretty long.
I'm hoping to finish 5-6 books, and to stay awake and reading/listening to audiobooks for all 24 hours.

I also ramble as I don't plan out what I'm going to say before I start the recording. Still learning the ins and outs

Buffy | 37 comments I’m in Indiana (I live in Colorado) house sitting for my aunt and my mom is here with me. I have two paper books left to read before I go over to only digital (I read mostly paper books at home, but “only” traveled with 5 this time). Usually i do lots of food prep the day before but had a migraine so we’ll see how the food aspect goes today…

Ann A (readerann) | 867 comments My plan is just to avoid outside distractions as much as possible. I really want to burn through some pages!

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) | 1435 comments I want to do some audio but more physical reading than I usually do for audiobooks, and do my self care bingo tasks throughout the day, get more movement in to keep energy up, and enjoy reading and updates

Vicki Willis | 510 comments I am planning on relaxing and reading all day. A mix of physical and audio.
It is supposed to be a beautiful 75 here today. I am going to be out in my hammock later.
I will talk Bailey dog on a few walks and listen to some audio books.

Lena (nlgmcr69) | 214 comments I have 2 goals this time.

#1 I want to read at least 1000 pages. I tend to be a mood reader and switch between books so I don't always track by books finished during a read-a-thon & find total pages read a better goal for me.

#2 I want to beat my personal "actual time spent reading" record for Dewey's. My previous record was set back in 2020 with 16 hours of ACTUAL time spent reading. So I want to get at least 16 hrs and 1 minute this time.

Loreen ☕️ | 29 comments I think my first goal is to finish books I've already started. Also, I need to work on some books for all the different reading challenges I'm working on this year. Its getting close to the end and I need to catch up!
