Ann (annrumsey) | 16933 comments Nice month Dan. I've read only one of these, Bangkok Haunts and am ready for the next book in that series. I thought i might have read Bones of Coral but apparently not yet. The Robert Cole books look to be quite chilling, since you have read the latest two in the series here, they must be good.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Ann, the Bangkok series is really good. I am interested in the Bangkok location since I was there; the plots are well done; there is a heavy dose of Buddhist beliefs mixed with spiritualism; and the prevalence of graft and corruption in almost all police and government dealings holds a central status throughout.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Ann, the Cole books are one of the better distopian stories I’ve read. It mixes terrorism with drastic world changes, and focuses on one group’s journey through the changing remains of society.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16933 comments Thanks Dan, adding to the towering list. I've got the John Marsden Tomorrow series lined up to complete and will be looking for more. (2 of the 7) https://www.goodreads.com/series/4099...

Susie Fevella (susieinks) | 1798 comments I think you are way ahead of me on the Rosenfelt books! I had to"DNF" Outfoxed this month. Just couldn't get interested in the story.

ChrisQ | 179 comments I have only heard of two of those books - Sanford's and Rosenfelt's... I am off to investigate - may need to add to my growing TBR.

GailW (abbygg) | 523 comments I just added the John Burkett series to my "I Won't Live Long Enough" list, but higher up. I have a brother who practices (correct term?) Buddhism for years, and I like to get my whispers of it from unconventional sources.

(And OMG - please don't read anything into my list name! I've gone from being violently ill Tuesday night to just plain cranky today...)

Ann (annrumsey) | 16933 comments Gail, whatever we call our shelf/list, we all have one (or more) :) of those!

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9491 comments I came up empty until I realized it was John Burdett you were talking about. I read Bangkok 8 a while back at your recommendation I'm sure. That novel was something!!!
Lots of other familiar authors in your list. Haven't heard of Cole, though. I'll have to check him out.
