RUNALITHE⠀ CREATION

This is the topic where you will post your finished Runalithe characters.
You may work on them in a character topic (if you request it) or the
   workshop.

   • 𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗘

Feel free to make or use your own template as long as you make sure
that you’ve included the below required sections somewhere within.

   Name:
   Age:
   Gender:
   Sexuality:
(Not mandatory, preference-based)

   Home City/Country:
   Role:
   Notable Magic:

Appearance: (We require two sentences of text description
even if you add a picture)

Personality: (We require four full sentences for personality
being descriptive and concise so we are able to get to know your
character and distinguish them from others)

History: (Depending on the role, this is an easy space. They
don’t need a hero backstory, because what matters most is what
happens in roleplay. Don’t overthink it! Five sentences explaining
their family, upbringing, and how they got to where they are. If this
includes other characters, simply message or ask to speak with the

Emillie is highly intelligent, and a skilled alchemist and inventor. Her curiosity isn't reserved to only science, however. She has also always been curious about magic, and the concept of combining both science and magic. She's generally a nice person, but if you interrupt her in the middle of important work, she's liable to lose her temper. She's not an animal person and is unhappy about the squad bringing pets on their mission. If you flirt with her, she might ignore you, or maybe flirt back, depending on her mood. However, if it gets physical, she'll probably punch you.

Emilie is 5'5" with wavey brown hair that she often pulls back in a low ponytail while working, brown eyes, and faint freckles.

Emillie wears mostly browns and tans. She generally wears pants and boots. She also often wears vests.

Emille grew up in Runalithe. Her paternal grandmother had been from Voxthain, and her stories of life there always intrigued Emillie. The Runalithe looked down on the use of magic, but Emillie always wondered if it was really so bad. her Voxthain grandmother passed when Emillie was eleven, and after that, she became even more obsessed with the idea of magic.

As a teenager, Emillie began experimenting with alchemy. She also tried using magic a few times, but all her attempts seemed pitiful, due to her knowing practically nothing about how to do it. Still, she kept experimenting, although she kept it a secret.

After her parents were killed in an accident when she was sixteen, Emillie moved in with her aunt and uncle, who were extremely strict. She found it harder than ever to experiment with magic, but they had no objections to her pursuits in science. She spent a lot of time working on chemistry, as well as on several inventions. However, she also enjoyed playing pranks with her cousins.

When she was a little older, she tinkered with standard navigation equipment, making it even better. This caught the eye of the squad, who needed a navigator. Emillie was happy to join and save her country from the shadowfog. She fulfilled her role of navigator but wanted to do more. Basically since joining the squad, she's been trying to help the technomancer, who is not interested in her assistance.

Being from Runalithe, Emillie has never really used magic. However, she has carried out some secret experiments, unconvinced that using magic is really so bad.

⠀⠀23⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀female⠀⠀⠀ runalithe⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀leader⠀⠀⠀  hetero⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀evocation

Alianna is a two-faced snake. She's cunning, sly, and charms anyone she can, usually successfully, to get herself in places and access to information she's not supposed to have. A stellar liar, the woman is smooth and has a wicked good poker face, easily hiding her true motive behind a sweep voice and cerulean eyes with fluttering lashes.

The woman is bad: classist, rude, ableist, and homophobic, but with members of her crew she pretends she's pretty much none of this unless, of course, people feel the same.

As the leader of the Runalithe mission, she's very goal-oriented and unafraid to do dirty things to get the magic that their city needs. However, Alianna is a vain, power-hungry, and greedy individual who has a hidden agenda: she wants the magic for herself, and has, really, no care about saving Runalithe or anyone back home. Why would she, when she only cares about herself? She already murdered her parents when the failed to protect her younger brother, and he was the only one she cared about. Alianna wants power that she felt was denied her, and as she's skilled with magic and alchemy, she wants it all.

The woman is a sadist, taking pleasure in making others suffer and hurt. That being said, she doesn't show this darker side to her personality to her crew much, and instead makes every decision in a calculated way--what best serves Runalithe, sure, but also what best serves her. She feels cast out and betrayed by her family and home country/city, and desires revenge. She's very arrogant, spoiled, and yet, very dedicated to what she desires. She also has the ability to be very patient in waiting for what she wants, and is quite intelligent with science, chemical, and biology, though she also loves magic and craves its power.

Alianna can be very flirtatious, and is not afraid to use that and her beauty to get what she wants, or violence. The woman gets a bit of a thrill from it, too, and while she does send her team in to do most of her dirty work, sometimes, she wants to do it herself, and Alianna is skilled with using knives, magic, and chemicals she creates to get the job done. She's ruthless, cruel, and efficient, and skilled at hiding away anything she wants to keep out of her team's knowledge--such as her past and her true desires and personality. To them, she's simply a tad arrogant, likes a clean workspace and base, but if they look close, there's something sinister behind her eyes. She doesn't hide the fact she has no qualms about killing people to get their magic, she just pretends it's all for the cause. All for Runalite. Not about revenge. Not about her own desires for planet domination. Not at all.

Alianna is 5’ 4”. Her skin is pale, face is dusted with a light coating of freckles. She has blue eyes that can look white in the darkness, with a slightly rounded face. She’s often caked in makeup, reds or oranges. She has wavy, thic, medium-shade blonde hair and is often worn down or in a ponytail, pulled back. Her hands and feet are smaller, and her body and build are slimmer, as well, and she is petite, which is one thing she really dislikes.

She loves to look perfect at all times, often dressed in brighter colors of reds and golds, or at least she did before she left. Now, she still wears pristine makeup in those shades around her eyes, but wears what she has to blend in for her mission. She used to love gowns and dresses.

Alianna was born in Voxthain, to two noble parents who spoiled her endlessly, as not only was her father a noble, but he was on the Council. While Alianna's father was respected by a lot of the nobility, he was not the best Council member. Eadric was bit classist and had a bit of a drinking problem. It made a few people sniff in distaste towards him as well as his family, but they were still wealthy. She had known of the shadowfog since she was very small, and always hoped it would stay away from Asterath and Voxthain, and her father was very overprotective because the shadowfog killed one of his sisters.

Thus, Alianna was really spoiled--all she wanted she got. The best educations, foods, clothing, training with her magic. She was also told by her parents she would become a brilliant Councilor despite it being an elected position, as Alianna was a good student with a very smart mind for sciences and magic, and was able to fool most people into thinking she was a good person. From an early age, she had darkness inside her. Alianna was spoiled, believed in the hierarchy, and was power hungry. She would always mistreat anyone in her family's house and get away with it under threats, and she hated anyone who threatened her.

This led to Alianna being a very strong bully of other nobles and children of Councilors, anyone she was around, and she hated the people simply because she felt as if they should not have a say in the Council. She thought only nobility should be permitted, and so she would bully anyone who was a Councilor who didn't come from a noble background. When she'd take walks through Voxthain and Asterath, she'd hurt the common people because she felt she was better and wanted them to know she saw them as worthless.

She had a special loathing towards anyone who was disabled or queer, because Alianna was heterosexual so she believed everyone else should be, too. The woman amassed a small posse, and targeted people while acting so gracious and charming around her parents and other Councilors and noble families in public and at events, as well as Cogsworks.

The person she bullied the most was a woman her age, Caledonia Hayden. Both their parents were nobles and council members--and best friends--except for one small thing: Cal was common born. She was adopted, and that pissed Alianna off, and because the people loved her. She fought for them and against the nobles and Councilors when she became one herself.

When Alianna was fifteen, she made her first kill. She had long been interested in using magic to harm people, and creating magical concoctions and poisons, but she did so hidden away in her room. But now, she was in love with a noble who was dating a different woman. So, using her poisons, she killed the woman, making it look like a freak accident. She comforted the nobleman, played her part almost too well, and ended up getting together with him. But when she was seventeen, Alianna told him the truth about his previous girlfriend, thinking to do so to gain more love and trust. He was furious and horrified, and so, Alianna did the hardest thing she has ever done: murdered him and made it look like something else. It was the one death she still somewhat regrets, but it solidified her as a horrible person.

Since then, she's gotten meaner and colder, and was more determined to become a Councilor and one day maybe even take over Voxthain. But, Alianna didn't have the best reputation, and was too arrogant to realize it would cost her. When a Council seat opened up, Alianna was convinced she would replace him at eighteen.

But when Alianna was not elected because of her reputation, she was furious. Because Caledonia was. So, vowing vengeance on the people who had failed her and hated her and on Caledonia, who had stolen Alianna's rightful spot, she fled Voxthain for Runalithe despite knowing the shadowfog was slowly consuming the planet.

So, she stole supplies, food, potion ingredients and spellbooks, her knives, trade items, and a magical transport ship, and left. In Runalithe, there was so much more technology, and she felt her heart soar. It was fascinating to see what they came up with and how she could use it to her advantage. She found a job as an assassin by night and scientist by day in Runalithe, and sought to find a way to gain power. She fell in love again, murdered more people...and became very freaked out when the shadowfog became even more of a threat. Alianna also yearned more revenge, so she spent her whole time in Runalithe also figuring out a way she could go back, murder her father who didn't stand up for her when she wasn't elected, and murder Caledonia Hayden.

But when Runalithe was called upon to steal magic to save their city, Alianna jumped at the opportunity. She had, over the past five years, crafted a new name and new life for herself, Artemis Vaughn. Because this, here, was what she had been waiting for--she was stronger now, and she wanted the magic for herself. Screw Runalithe, where her boyfriend dumped her and she had to murder him, where nobody gave her the respect she deserved. She could doom Voxthain, she could kill and drain her nemesis, and she could, unknown to her crew, steal the magic for herself. She could rule Lux. Only her. Start a war, a revolution.

So she became Artemis Vaughn, leader of the Runalithe crew, and has been plotting and scheming for months, waiting to bring Lux to its knees, bowing to its new empress. TBD what she's doing between the plotting and killing and draining.

alisa (known as tasha amongst the runalithe squad) is a very sneaky and cheeky little thing. no one would have expected a 17 year old to end up as the runalithe squad second in command, but alisa did, and there must have been a reason for that. she is smart and resourceful and uses everything to her advantage, especially people. who would expect a ray of sunshine to backstab them? most of the squad has no idea how such an innocent and naive girl ended up as their second in command, but that’s only because alisa has never told them. having grown up in violent and modern kainan, a city near to runalithe and like asterath, she learnt how to be silent and keep secrets from a very small age, and she developed a knack for spying and squeezing into very small spaces that no one would think a human could fit into. alisa’s mind is like a labyrinth - continually storing new information into every corner she can find. she just watches, but never forgets. everyone sees her as the happy, bubbly baby of the squad.

being the second in command for runalithe, one would expect alisa to be very organised, but just as her brother rohan used to say, she is probably the most unpredictable person ever. if she can have her favourite food for breakfast, she’ll still choose simple bread and butter, just because. no one knows what goes on in that mind of hers, least of all alisa herself. but she is very creative and a quick-thinker, and surprisingly not that bad at leading, even though most of the crew has no idea why they should listen to her when artemis - the leader - for some reason isn’t doing her job. alisa has a certain way of getting people to like her and her natural charm is one of her many weapons, so people often follow her orders without questioning why, simply because (and also because they can tell that she is very loyal and dedicated to the cause). alisa is the type of person who will suddenly appear out of nowhere and make a random remark - most likely a cold or funny one. during an important meeting about killing people, alisa would be the type of person to rudely interrupt and say ‘do you have any bread? i’m starving.’

friends.

- beaker
alisa would say beaker is her friend, just because. she finds beaker cute and just a little ball of fluff for a distraction, and a definite liability to the squad - but then again the crew see alisa herself as a liability to the squad sometimes and she doesn’t like it one bit, which is why she likes beaker as she thinks they can relate.

- lumi
alisa has always been a cat person, but lumi is just so amazing that she can’t help but love her. intelligent and outgoing? sounds just like alisa herself.

- cookie
cookie isn’t exactly alisa’s best friend, but she likes to think of everyone as her friend, because that way she isn’t going to worry about making impressions or how to get at them this time. she knows not to provoke cookie and will ignore cookie most of the time - which is what the cat wants, which is why cookie doesn’t mind alisa half the time. but the occasional treat is given, of course.

- emilie [@bella]
alisa’s work doesn’t actually clash with emilie’s so they don’t tend to interact when working but in lunch breaks and rests, they tend to hangout. alisa likes emilie because she’s friendly and doesn’t tend to poke around her work - unlike other members of the squad - and they are relatively close in age so alisa is happy to chat with emilie.

enemies.

none. yet

neutral relationships.

- artemis [@elizabeth]
alisa tends to avoid artemis as much as possible. their relationship is… strained. she knows artemis suspects her and doesn’t trust her, and she is also sceptical of artemis as she thinks artemis is hiding something very important, but doesn’t know what. if they have to talk, then they will - and get into arguments along the way - but other than that, they just avoid each other and honestly don’t mind each other.

dragging me somewhere i don’t want to go is like getting an upset cat to go take a bath.
my life, my own rules.

༉‧₊˚. magic.

illusion - level iv:
invisibility (depending on how long and how many entities are under the spell; you are still a physical entity)

enchantment - level iii:
charm (making an entity more friendly in a subtle and temporary way), command (temporarily stop someone from moving or freezing them in place)

abjuration - level ii:
nondetection (muffles sound, obscures sight slightly), freedom of movement (parkour ease, better agility)

transmutation - level i:
mending (fixing small wounds or ailments on living things or nonliving objects)

༉‧₊˚. weapons.

being sneaky:
not an official weapon? says who? of course it’s an official weapon! you can eavesdrop on conversations, witness things you ought not to, do things you shouldn’t do. and it’s not an official weapon? well, it’s alisa preferred weapon, official or not. (it better be official.)

pistol:
alisa has perfect aim, but that doesn’t mean she likes shooting. guns make such a loud noise you can’t be sneaky with a gun, and they’re hard to hide, but she will shoot if she has to.

knife:
at least one can be sneaky with a knife. it’s silent, and easy to hide, which are great bonuses for being sneaky. alisa is horrendous at throwing knives, but as long as you stick ‘em with the pointy end, who cares about the in between? not her, at least.

explosives:
you have to be sneaky to plant one of these, granted, but as soon as you do the planting, what then? you’re not being sneaky anymore. at least they make a huge scene and that lets you be sneaky again, and god does alisa love chaos.

driving:
not a weapon, i know. alisa just likes to claim she can drive… but in reality cannot. she knows what each of the buttons do but has never actually taken to the road before, meaning that when she drives… we don’t talk about how every time she tried to drive she ended up crashing within ten minutes. eleven, actually, is her record.

༉‧₊˚. history.

IMG-5278

alisa was born to a notorious gangster family from kainan - a city well-known for being controlled by gangs like asterath in faerûn. her older brother - rohan - was 6 years older than her, and always played the part of protective older brother for alisa, leading to the two being very close. they did everything together, and rohan taught her lots of what she knows and follows now.

kainan was a city not too far from runalithe, but alisa grew up distanced from the big city, growing up as second-heir to her parents’ gangster empire they had inherited from their ancestors in kainan. their gang was called the scarlets, but there was also a rival gang in the city called the emeralds. everyday, the scarlets were focused on how to best the emeralds and how to gain land from them, making acquaintances and planting spies to watch their every move, and also keeping an eye out for any potential emerald spies in amongst their own ranks.

since birth, alisa has practised her gift of being sneaky. sneaking into official meetings even her brother wasn’t allowed in? check. hiding in the most smallest and unexpected of places just to prank rohan? check. gathering information and actually knowing more about the current state of kainan and the emeralds than their parents? triple check. alisa was having the time of her life living as a child in gangster kainan, and so was her brother. if anyone asked her why her pistol aim was so accurate, she’d reply “it’s because my brother taught me.” if anyone asked about her knife throwing skills, she’d say “it’s because my brother died before he could teach me.”

which leads us onto the next topic. when alisa was thirteen, life couldn’t have been better. her sneaking skills were getting better, she was a lot more talented herself and she actually knew what she was going to do with various pieces of information. and plus, rohan was 19, and had gotten himself a girlfriend, which meant one more person for alisa to prank and scare to death. until her parents and brother went on an important trading mission to nearby runalithe.

they never came back.

she was devastated, to say the least. after crying her heart out (which she will now fervently deny - alisa romanova never cries) she tried to claim and run the gang herself - she was, after all, heir apparent - but her cousin dimitri laughed in her face and tried to take over the gang. the scarlets, of course, all supported the 20 year old man (who even tried to take away rohan’s claim when he was alive) over the 13 year old girl they barely even saw. and just like that, alisa became a stranger to her own gang. dimitri - who wanted to consolidate his claim over the gang - offered up a reward for whoever could give him alisa romanova - dead or alive - and the emeralds had also always wanted her - dead or alive. alisa had no choice but to flee her home.

alisa faked her death and fled to an international trading hub - the small township of venzhu - on the coast of faerûn where the shadowfog has not hit yet. there, she lived in a modest apartment and found a maester from the sister cities who taught her some magic and trained her in more weaponry. she learnt to stop speaking in the kainan dialect of their language - speaking the language perfectly normally except for a hint of an asterathi accent which she picked up from her maester.

after 4 years of training and following her maester’s death, alisa was finally ready to move on. her mind and skills had all been honed, but she wasn’t about to return to her home city which had kicked her out. there was nothing for her in quiet venzhu either, and the sister cities were too far away for alisa to want to go there. so there was only one logical place to go to: runalithe. the place where her family had perished.

alisa was determined to avenge her family against the shadowfog which had consumed them. she finally realised that saving faerûn from the shadowfog was something she had meant to do all along, and finally realised the purpose of her training. the runalithe government was sceptical of alisa at first when she applied to become part of the squad, but due to her stubbornness, they finally offered her a position - asterath infiltrator, which she declined politely. she knew why they had offered her that - kainan was very similar to asterath - but alisa was determined to put gangs behind her. if she had been looking to return to a gang, she would have gone home. alisa knew she was meant for something more, so she self-applied herself for second, and stuck with it. “my brother didn’t die for nothing,” was what she said to them when she grabbed the position. no one was going to tell her otherwise. and there she was. a revenge-driven little sister, intent on saving faerûn and avenging her family.

alisa still speaks with a hint of the kainan dialect and asterathi accent from her maester which makes people think that she is from kainan, or worse, asterath, but whenever they ask her, she abruptly switches the topic. the last thing alisa needed was for word of her existence spreading to dimitri in kainan - who was still after her last she heard. he hadn’t bought her faked death and was still searching for her, and surprisingly hadn’t given up. her last name ‘romanov’ was enough of a clue already, but she claimed to be from venzhu where she had spent the last 4 years. there were romanovs in venzhu - but they had nothing to do with her. the squad doesn’t know anything about her backstory except that her family died because of the shadowfog and she was determined to get revenge. alisa isn’t sure why she won’t tell them about her backstory herself, but she supposed a girl can have her secrets. it wasn’t out of self-pity - most squad members had an even more tragic background than her - but she guessed it was because she felt uncomfortable telling them about her. surprisingly, she can be quite humble and she likes to keep the illusion of being the mysterious, happy girl in the squad. therefore, alisa adopted her middle name - natasha (tasha for short) - and lied about her age. she claims to be twenty instead of seventeen - before the crew truly starts thinking of her as an immature liability which is exactly what alisa doesn’t want to be known as.

looking back through this for the relationship thing and aelin would it be possible to age up your character a bit? it feels unreasonable to have a teen as the second in command on this nationally important assassination mission

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi is a muscular, tan-skinned man whose body bears many scars. His soft green eyes are a stark contrast to his otherwise imposing presence—handsome, expressive. He dresses in tank tops or snug short-sleeved shirts paired with leather pants, all designed for maximum mobility and minimal restriction, highlighting both his strength and readiness for sudden violence.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He accessorizes with several personal items that never leave his body: a necklace of tan, black, and white beads; rings scavenged from his fallen victims; and an anklet crafted by his late brother, a genius who perished in the shadowfog. The anklet, while functional in aiding his balance, is also something sentimental Bodhi. It is one of the few things he treats with any sort of respect.

      𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi is a master manipulator of expression, tone, and posture. His dramatic shifts between danger and flirtation, fluster and control, allow him to keep others off balance in a way he enjoys in a twisted manner. He weaponizes his charisma, using flirtation not as affection but as a game, a power play designed to keep himself untouchable.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Despite his violent nature, Bodhi is not inherently disloyal. Those who have earned his true respect or trust are safe from his insanity, but earning that space is difficult, and even those close to him are often unsure whether they’re a comrade or a future corpse. His interactions are sharp-tongued and abrasive, even toward his own squad, but his cruelty has boundaries when it comes to people he considers his.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi views the world through a cold, tactical lens, but there’s a strange sort of honor to him, or at least there was. Something about the cave moss is really bringing out the absolute worst in him, and all he knows is murder and deadpan sarcasm.

Likes

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi finds joy in the performance of it all. Masking threats with a grin, watching others squirm under his gaze, and playing people like instruments. He enjoys control above all else: emotional control, social control, and situational control. There’s something intoxicating to him about being underestimated one moment and feared the next. He’s oddly fascinated by moss.

Dislikes

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi despises sentimentality when it isn’t under his control. Displays of open-hearted emotion make his skin crawl unless he’s orchestrated them himself—and even then, he looks down on the ones who fall for it. He hates people who moralize, who hold to some golden principle while the world burns, and he especially detests cowards who act high and mighty but crack under real pressure. Anything that reminds him of weakness—hesitation, guilt, hope—he scorns with brutal sharpness. He has no patience for sloppiness, either; messy kills, botched plans, or people who act without strategy grate on his nerves like sand in a wound.

      𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗖

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bodhi lives by stealth, speed, and strength—traits he’s honed in Faerûn, where magic is taboo and physical prowess reigns. He’s always preferred relying on his own body anyway: powerful arms capable of snapping necks, swift feet that make him untouchable, and a ruthless cunning that keeps him one step ahead of any target.

𝑇𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝑊𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠: 𝑁𝑜𝑛𝑒

      𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi was born in Runalithe, which was automatically a fortunate start to life as it is the furthest Faerûn country from the shadowfog. His father was never around, but his slithery snake of a mother was. She raised him to be cunning and tricky, and he certainly did turn out that way. Without any other guidance in life, Bodhi became exactly what she wanted. His mother was already part of a group of illicit people committing heinous crimes, and when Bodhi learned of their true intentions at thirteen, he reveled in the idea of assassinating people rather than shrinking from it.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀His mother had prepared him for this life, and he was going to live it. He killed a young man who had stolen from their compound when he was fifteen, and had no remorse. This was his life. He had killed dozens of people by the time he was twenty-five, people from all around Faerûn, earning his mother’s highest respect and trust.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀To him, that meant everything. Bodhi had an older brother who was brilliant, and he supplied the assassin group with all of their technology and weapons. Bodhi was never particularly close with his brother but as he was a part of the group and needed assistance, his brother made him an anklet. His clumsiness was detrimental, as assassins needed to be smooth and light-footed. The anklet equipped him with better balance, further jumping, and quicker movement.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi refuses to take it off to this day—not even primarily due to the benefits it offers, but because his brother died trying to explore the shadowfog and Bodhi sees it as a way to remember his brother. When the shadowfog got worse and a group of intelligent and able people were getting ready to be sent to steal magic from a continent across the moon to fight it off, there was also a call for a fighter to protect them if they needed it.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Bodhi volunteered and quietly killed anyone else who tried to step up, as he felt like he needed to continue his brother’s mission. Something he felt he owed his brother. On top of that, he was perfect when the mission shifted from protecting the crew to draining living people of their magic. Having been raised an assassin, he was able to shift from protector to assassin once again with ease.
