Can’t say I really enjoyed this book because the genre just isn’t for me, but it does seem a lot like YA and a lot like other fantasy/sci-fi books I’ve read. Maybe this wasn’t a good introduction to steampunk for me? That being said, the reviews praised Updraft for “worldbuilding” which was interesting - the city is made of living bone - and the main character, Krit has some challenges to overcome (sequels coming).
