Ahh, crazy to think that 2024 is almost over... wow, this year went by FAST.
So, we're starting fresh with the 2025 point game!!

So for those of you who don’t know, a point game is where the group is divided into two teams. Each team has the same amount of people/close to the same amount of people. So how it works is:

- Once you’re finished reading a book, go to your team thread
- Each team starts at zero, and the number of points you log should correspond with the number of pages the book has. Each member is responsible for logging THEIR OWN POINTS once they finish reading a book.
- Write the title of the book along with the points next to it and state the total as well (Ex: The Hunger Games: 20, total: 20) there’s another example down below so please check that out as well!!

📝Scoring System:📝
100+ pages: 10 pts
200+ pages: 20 pts
300+ pages: 30 pts
400+ pages: 40 pts
500+ pages: 50 pts
600+ pages: 60 pts
700+ pages: 70 pts
800+ pages: 80 pts
900+ pages: 90 pts
1000+ pages: 🚩🚩 ANY BOOK O V E R 1000+ pages can be like what you said.
**only for 1000+ paged books tho.**
>>Ex: 1,500 book would be 150

1,250 would be 120

1,400 would be 140

And so forth 🚩🚩

- books under 100 pages COUNT THIS YEAR!!

10 pages = 1 point
20 = 2
30 = 3
40 = 4
50 = 5
etc...

▶️ AUDIO AND EBOOKS: **Check the PAPER EDITION for the page numbers**
▶️ MANGAS/GRAPHIC NOVELS: 7 points
▶️ CHILREN'S/PICTURE BOOKS: 1 point (ex: The Rainbow Fish IS one point.)

Person A: Wuthering Heights: 50
Total: 50

Person B: Dance of Thieves: 30
Total: 80 (notice how you’re adding YOUR points to the previous person's post, which should mention the total)

Person C: The Thief: 30
The Selection: 30
Total: 140

🚨🚨 So a new rule we added is that IF YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE BOTM YOU GET TO ADD +30 POINTS TO THE ADDITIONAL OG SCORING.

So for this month, since swift was the winner, it would normally be 20 points, but with the additional 30 points it’s now 50 POINTS!! You must finish the book during the month given +1 week!

We hope this increases motivation/participation in the botm! Lemme know if you guys have any questions! 🚨🚨

~ this will end at the end of the year, and then I’ll remake the teams using an online generator again. We’re still deciding the prize for the winning team, but it *might* be choosing the first BotM for 2026, but we’ll see :)
