Would you want to do a buddy read?

Also, Amanda, I read a ton of fanfic because I had no spoons (I ditched a fair few of my reads).
Tapestry is on GR, but doesn't have a page count. The AO3 listing is here (https://archiveofourown.org/works/432...), and it has 91,426 words. Could you possibly update it for my use? Thanks!

Janine...Did you want to read Artificial Condition? If so, that could be our team read this month...

Ill give audio another go as free ..its £8 to buy 😳😳

Read a book where nature influences the story or the characters’ choices.
The only section it works for ?
I have found the dramatized version of audio is great.
I'm not sure. Jackie I think has read it before so she could say if it could be used for other prompts.

Read a book exploring the relationship between people and the environment.
The mining operations and corporate exploitation implicitly touch on how humans reshape and exploit environments for profit, often at great cost.
Read a book that deals with environmental challenges or changes.
The mine setting represents altered environments where natural landscapes are consumed and transformed for resources, raising questions about sustainability and corporate negligence.
Read a book where nature influences the story or the characters’ choices.
The hostile mining planet acts as a backdrop that shapes the dangers characters face; the harshness of the environment magnifies the stakes.
Read a book that touches on sustainability or alternative ways of living.
The contrast between corporate exploitation and Murderbot’s resistance to that system hints at critiques of unsustainable practices.
Read a book imagining a future shaped by ecological or environmental shifts.
The corporate-dominated future is one where planetary environments are routinely consumed and reshaped; ecology is secondary to profit, but it’s still a consequence of this imagined world.

My choices (all SF, all diversity but kingdoms and artificial condition):
Moon of the Crusted Snow--indigenous horror thriller
Inside a Dark Space--BR with Amanda
Nowhere Else--part of a trilogy; i loved the first book
Future Home of the Living God--Louise Erdrich, so it should be good
Artificial Condition--murderbot
Land of Milk and Honey--a chef makes good food with bad origins
Out of Nowhere--part of a trilogy; i loved the first book
Crocodile Tears--rec'd by a friend
Kríe Captivity--BR with Lisa
The Kingdoms--time travel from last month
I see 29 Points for Just Drive, so I think someone fixed it.
OK....recommendations for
Read a book featuring a character deeply connected to the natural world.
AND
Read a book with characters advocating for or protecting the environment.
Also for Solar System...I need
MPG Time Travel (if I replace Heart of a Wolf)
Ring on the Cover

I'm reading the last 2 books of the Nowhere Trilogy and they fit the natural world and environment (I'm using book 3 for environment, but all would work). The first book, Edge of Nowhere, would also work--I just read it. I thought it was really good. If you wanted to read the first 2, we could buddy the second. Fast, sexy, not too much SF.
OK. I'm in for The Kingdoms
Would the first in the Nowhere trilogy work for Read a book imagining a future shaped by ecological or environmental shifts. OR Read a book that deals with environmental challenges or changes.

I'm doing all the BR Thread requests now

And friends, I have really slowed down. Lisa, I hope you like the Felicia Davin books. I mentioned Edge of Nowhere earlier, because I liked it so much, especially for a SF book.

I can probably start that tomorrow. I'm doing a re-read of a Sweet Man for my last Clown Task. I should finish tonight.
I'm not a huge Sci-Fi fan, so I'll alternate those and other books this month. I can start with that one and then do hyperspeed (need for bachelor) after that.

Ok. Here is my order for the next few books. Kirsten, take a look and see if our BR will work for this order.
Sweet Man Currently Reading
Kríe Captivity Start Wednesday
How to Flirt with a Hellhound Start Thursday
Edge of Nowhere Start Friday
Danny Hall Gets a Lawyer Start Saturday
Nowhere Else Start Sunday

You might. Shannon Mae is funny, but but a different kind? If that makes sense?
I'm not sure if I can do the BR. I'll have to ask...

I requested a BR in the thread and in the BR thread for us.
Other than the fact I can't seem to concentrate on anything for more than 30 min, Edge of Nowhere is pretty good so far

🥳
Yay!
Kirsten....Out of Nowhere is on my list. I'm ready when you are. I almost started reading it as soon as I finished. I'm going to read the last one too.
Also, The Kingdoms works for TW starting 9/9. Can you work that into your list next week too?

The second one is Artificial Condition and it can work for Read a book where nature influences the story or the characters’ choices.
Justification: Murderbot’s return to the unstable mining world is driven by the planet’s dangerous, altered environment.
