It's 3 days before Thanksgiving, and recent widow Bev, as a result of a series of unfortunate events finds herself having to stay with her daughter's father in law Tom, a widower, at whose home the family Thanksgiving will be hosted. What's the problem - Bev is very prim and proper, a perfectionist, meticulous in appearance down to the string of pearls. Tom is as opposite as could be - a real 'old coot' with a very blue and colorful vocabulary, chain smoker, heavy drinker, anti-social, often downright rude. Bev is Martha Stewart Thanksgiving, Tom is canned cranberry sauce and a turkey on the grill with a can of beer inside it. They do not get along.
Or so you would think. This ended up being a really charming novella about two hurt souls finding each other and embracing compromise and a new life. It's also plenty hot and steamy too and the Thanksgiving ends up one of the best all have enjoyed. It's wonderful to have a sexy romance centered on a mature couple - Bev is 59 and Tom is 62 - having a second chance at love.
