Anyone have and want to buddy read We Won't All Survive by Kate Alice Marshall? She's really pumping books out! A Killing Cold just came out in January and this one publishes July 29! I was thinking maybe right after 4th of July?

I didn't know about that one (or if I did I forgot!), but it sounds interesting. I really enjoy her books. I'll put in a request.

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary and are going to Puerto Rico and then cruising to southern Caribbean. We are not getting internet so we can actually relax. lol

This is the best reason ever for not being able to join a buddy read at that time! That sounds like a wonderful trip!

So actually We Won't All Survive is NetGalley app or NetGalley Reader only format and I've already downloaded it so I only have until 6/12 to read it before it expires. And in my experience, once you download it, even if you delete it and re-download it, the counter stays the same as if you never deleted it. I HATE reading in the NetGalley app, it's so clunky. But anyways, how about a 6/1 buddy read instead?

Anyone want to buddy read any of these? I read more NG when I'm held accountable by buddy reads. lol.

I am actually going to read this one now. I don't like that I can't put it on a device so I want to read it before it disappears.

Is there a way to know this when we request? I forgot it there is something that tells the format. I would not want to request books that can just disappear.

Just below the book blurb on NG there is a section that says, "Available on NetGalley" and below that are the available formats. I had to go look because I forgot too and I also don't like when books can not be sent to other devices.

Edit: I hope that one becomes available on audio because it sounds so good and I really enjoy her writing.

It's very annoying but I've learned to not download it until I'm ready to read it (as long as it's before archive date) and then I still have 54 days until it expires. Mostly it's just the graphic novels that are NG app only but sometimes a novel is too. It's probably been less than 10 novel requests in my NG history that have been NG app only.

I love Janice Hallett, one of my favourite authors. I have requested this one but it is still pending. I haven't been refused a book in about 2 years so I am hopeful I will be approved. Would love buddy read if I get it

I have a couple of books that have been pending since the beginning of January. They both publish in June. I wish there was a way to bump it to remind publishers that haven't responded yet. I feel like the requests just get buried if they don't decide right away.
