It's been at least 7 years since the last time I read this but still my favourite book of all time.

It has been at leas 2-3 years since I read this book. I was so excited to get started, I'm already done

I was traveling the last two days so I read while I was on the plane. Soooooo many times when I was laughing out loud and almost crying.

I forgot how many years this book spanned. Almost 10 years have gone by in the book.

I also forgot what was in this book and what was in the sequels. I didn't expect a conclusion so was pleasantly surprised.

Some people gave it 1star reviews because of the age gap between Joe and Ox when they meet which is so weird to me. If they actually bothered to read the whole book I don't think it would be the case.

N.R Walker's new book was also getting dragged for making prostitution seem 'fun' and like a valid choice...This policing writing by negative review bombing is really winding me up recently.

I started this one. I need to finish it before the weekend. And it helps in spell.
It's been a long time since I originally read it.
I've forgotten almost everything, except that I absolutely loved it the first time.

Ox in his fathers clothes. I love how clearly I can image it in my head.

I don't think I'm going to be able to finish today. Which is to bad. I'd love to read this book start to finish on a cozy rainy day.

Well, it's rainy, but not a completely close out the world and read a book day.

I loved it from the start. With Ox dressing up in his fathers clothes to be the man of the house. Gordo handing him the shift with his name on it. Neither of those even envolve Joe, but just had me loving Ox right away.

I better put anything more in spoilers, just in case someone hasn't started yet.

(view spoiler)[The age gap didn't bother me. But that's because their relationship didn't start as a romance. It was a wonderful friendship. Ox didn't even look at Joe with attraction until Joe was 17. Even then he refused to touch him until he turned 18.
Joe's the one who knew he wanted more. But he didn't stand in Ox's way when Ox dated or slept with others. Even though he was jealous. I might feel differently if it had felt like Ox was grooming him. But it didn't. (hide spoiler)]

So glad that Ox didn't just kiss and forget everything when Joe returned. I kept thinking, don't let it go to quickly.
Of course I knew and wanted him to forgive Joe and be together. But he had every right to be mad.

Dang! Richard Collins was pretty evil. He's part was what moved the story portions along. But it was Ox's grip on my heart that kept me reading.

I hate when books are hyped up to unrealistic proportions, and then you are either disappointed, or think eh, yeah it was good.
This is a book that had the hype, and delivered!
