The kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend's little sister and knowing you can't have her.

Forbes may have labeled Ford Grant the World's Hottest Billionaire, but all he cares about is escaping the press and opening a recording studio in gorgeous small town Rose Hill. Something that comes to a screeching halt when he ends up face-to-face with a young girl who claims he's her biological father. Now, he spends his days balancing business with parenting a sullen twelve-year-old, all while trying desperately to keep his hands the hell off his best friend's sister, Rosie Belmont.

After living in the city, Rosie came blasting back into town like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed, desperate plea for a job is all it takes for Ford to hire her. He vows to keep her at arm's length. Tries to stick to scowls and grumpy one-liners. But with her, verbal sparring is a type of foreplay―friction that soon turns to blistering heat.

Ford knows damn well he shouldn't cross this line. But shouldn't and can't are two very different things.

And the only thing he truly can't do is resist her.

(view spoiler)[Pretty cute so far. I can't truly imagine being a billionaire AND the hottest woman (in his case man) BUT I can understand how one might get tired of feeling like people like you only for your money or looks. That seems to be one of the main reasons why Ford is into Rosie...she just treats him like a "normal" person.

Cora is on the brink of being a teen so that attitude is definitely coming out. lol She's kind of adorable though and I like how Ford is starting to feel more fatherly and I think she's warming up to him. It would be so tough to have your mom in a state of depression and I hope her treatment works.

I like the bantering between Rosie and Ford too. They know each other almost too well. lol I think they'll end up somehow caring for Cora to some degree as her parents, but I hope her mom is able to be there for her too. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I like Willa. She knows her brother well! He couldn't hide how he felt about Rosie lol but I loved the scene where she saw and told him that she saw them making out...her description of what she saw. LOL

And he finally admitted that he loves her. I wonder what's going to happen to Cora and that whole situation. (hide spoiler)]

Should I have read another series before reading this one?

She has cross over characters with her series. I've read Gold Rush Ranch and have three books left in Chestnut Springs. I've heard some of these characters make a show in this new series.

Oh no! I have the same question. I've read all of Chestnut Springs but haven't read Gold Rush Ranch. Hoping I can read this one and it's not an issue?!

(view spoiler)[So far I'm really enjoying this one. I've liked other Elsie Silver books in the past. I like how she writes couples and their banter.

I LOVED how Rosie reacted to finding out that Ford had a daughter, congratulating him that he wasn't a virgin anymore.

Seems we may be getting two single dad type stories in this series with Ford and Rosie's brother, Wes. I'm definitely interested in hearing more about him! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Thank goodness! I was waiting to find out how Ford was going to mess with her ex boss. I'm so happy with what he did.

I'm really enjoying this read! I think it's super fun with lots of banter between Rosie and Ford. Rosie's relationship is adorable what she's got going on with Cora. Her friggin nickname is so cute.

Cora moving in with him and enrolling in a school in the area seems like it happened really fast but I'm running with it.

Curious to see where this goes in the end. I'm afraid we're getting a third act break up for some reason and I'm not overly excited about it. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Ok so the third act break up/conflict happened. It felt silly to me. I understand that Rosie was upset with Ford for telling her brother and that she was upset that Ford got her brother arrested but it seemed like a smidge of an overreaction. Perhaps it's just me. I do think that there's more behind the reaction of West getting arrested. It sounds like he may have caused some chaos in the past. I'm excited to read his book and I'm hoping we hear more about it, hoping it makes more sense.

Ultimately, I really enjoyed the fun banter between Rosie and Ford. Cora was a fun twist on things and seeing their relationship grow with her was super cute. I loved seeing Willa in this story! Her book was one of my favourites.

(view spoiler)[Oh my goodness. I'm loving this one so far.

It's incredibly sad what's happened and how Erika has created this story about her family. Tabitha has been so supportive. To have Erika tell Rhys that she's never around and then also have Rhys look after him as if he's her only support, it's so sad.

It sounds like the truth is coming out and it seems like everyone has Milo as top priority and just want to support him the best way they can.

(view spoiler)[I'm really curious about Milo's biological father. Is there a chance that it's actually Rhys? I just think there are some similarities being pointed out. She says they look alike.

So far I'm enjoying it. The wedding seemed a little off and her parents didn't really question it all which felt weird. I get why they had to but it felt weird.

I'm enjoying the tension and banter between the two of them. I'm really hoping Rhys tells her soon what happened and what I'm assuming is that he didn't actually evict her sister. Perhaps this will be the third act breakup/issue? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[OK, so I didn't expect to get a wrestler in this series, but I liked it. It was fun.

I didn't really think Rhys would be the bio dad, but the comments felt like they were leading in that direction at times. That said, I'm glad there wasn't drama surrounding a biological father, but I'm still curious!

I was soooo happy when Tabitha was the one to take his mask off. I was hoping that would come together. Makes sense that there was an injury coming. I think it worked well. I HATED his boss. He was an absolute nightmare. I was kind of surprised he continued on with the company for 4 additional years in the end but I think he started setting some good boundaries over script and what he was willing to do. All that said, I'm glad he got the ending he did, retiring on his own terms and with no animosity.

Love the bromances that came out of this story.

Looking forward to the next one and I'm guessing we're getting Gwen?! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 22: (view spoiler)[ The book kept throwing surprises my way—first with Rhys being the guardian, then with the wedding. But it's strange that no one questioned them. I'm also really curious about Erika's journals and the secret that's about to be revealed. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-11 => (view spoiler)[This one is starting out cute. I'm not sure I agree with how she introduced Cora. It really doesn't feel very realistic, but I do like seeing their relationship starting to grow a little bit. I'm guessing there may be some issues once she meets the parents??? Or maybe things are going to be smooth sailing.

I'm not sure what I think of Rosie just yet. I do like the banter between her and Ford. I am getting a little tired of constantly hearing about him being a billionaire though. It's being said so much, it's hard to not find it super repetative at this point. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 12-22 => (view spoiler)[I do love the banter between these two. The tension between Rosie and Ford is pretty high. I love that everyone can see they want each other, except the two of them. But I also love the relationship that Rosie has with Cora. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 23-33 => (view spoiler)[ Oh these two!! I love them together. I love all three of them together. I love how his parents were with Cora.
