RJ. (macreadies) | 9 comments i can't remember if i ever made an intro despite having been in this group for a while. anyway! i'm RJ, i use any pronouns, and i'm from the usa. i like nonfiction and history most of all, but i've been reading more fiction this year and having a great time.

mostly making this post because my feed is slightly empty, so friend requests would be appreciated! or just talk to me! i love to socialize on the internet!

thanks for reading!

hi lauren! i just finished Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions and it was... okay i guess. i've read 9 books since the start of the year and that was one of two misses for me, but hopefully i read some better books soon haha.

hi nogara! i don't read a lot of fiction currently, but i recently read The Friend, a novel about a woman whose friend passes away and she is left to take care of his dog. it was, to me, a beautiful story about the reality of grief and the complicated feelings it comes with. i also love shakespeare and edgar allan poe. i hope to read more fiction this year!

Mal (mallard_duck) | 6 comments okay listen as an owner of a cat. I NEED to know if my cat will eat my eyeballs if I die in my flat because there's only two of us here and as far as I know HE can't open the door to call for help (he's orange)

(also I swear I wasn't trying to be weird I just saw that book on your feed)

socializing on gr is a bit counterintuitive for me but my dms are always open! I also love nonfiction (my most recent nf read was in defence of witches by mona chollet which was AMAZING and I can fully recommend it). feel free to send me a friend request if you want to chat!

hi! so Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs? And Other Questions About Dead Bodies is REALLY good and i'd highly recommend it if you have any big questions about death, mortuary science, cremation, or burial practices. it really covers a lot of bases. but to answer your question, cats are more likely to go for your lips, hands, and other soft parts of your body. this is only after they are starving though, they likely will not attack a human corpse as soon as death occurs, especially not if its their owner.

basically, your eyeballs are safe!

and i'd love to chat, lemme send you a request!
