Tiny Love Stories: Lulu and Jo Ann

It was a lovely vacation in Pennsylvania for the Altsman family. As her husband went fishing, Joann stayed behind with her beloved potbellied pig, Lulu. Suddenly, Joann felt sick - she was having a heart attack.

Wracked by chest pain and with no people in earshot, Jo Ann feared this heart attack would be her last. But Lulu knew that the dog door flap led to a path which led to a road and that the road led to traffic and people. So Lulu squeezed through the dog door, scraping her skin in the effort.

Once outside, Lulu opened a gate, trotted to the edge of the highway and laid down. Several cars drove around her. Unwilling to give up, she tried again in the middle of the highway. Finally a man stopped and got out of his car to make sure Lulu was ok. When he did, she sprang up and ran to the house with him following. He dialed 911 and Jo Ann lived.
