rea ۶ৎ (bunfits) | 69 comments hello, lovelies!! i’ve been making an effort to read more lately, but I find that it takes quite a bit of time. I started setting a timer and realized i can get through about 40 to 50 pages per hour. i’d really love to hear about YOUR reading habits and any strategies you use to read more efficiently. i’m currently aiming to read one or two books each week

Hannah Rogers | 8 comments Depending on what I'm reading really makes a difference on how fast I'll end up reading it. On Kindle Unlimited if it's is 100 pages or under I can finish in about a hour. I've also heard that changing the font to OpenDyslxic can improve reading speed as well. Don't know if this helps or not but I hope maybe it does. I normally listen to a music playlist on Spotify based on what genre or type of book I'm reading.

Zaria | 11 comments For me, I can get distracted by a lot of noise so I turn the volume down on the tv really low and also turn on a show that I've seen a bunch of times, so I won't be tempted to watch it. I also flip my phone face down so I don't see it light up from every single notification.

Krishna Satheesh (krishnasatheesh) | 40 comments I read way faster when I'm under pressure. Like, during exams, I somehow manage to devour a whole book in a day. But when I'm on vacation, I hit a total reading slump. Unless I see some cool book reels or shorts, then I might get hooked.

summer⁎ ˚ ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ | 79 comments I usually finish 3-5 books a week. Most of them tend to be audiobooks. A couple are usually physical. It's easier for me to listen to an audiobook when I'm driving or at the gym because I don't have a choice whereas lately when I try to sit down and read a physical book I get very distracted. This month I read 25 books, and it was 14 audiobooks and then 11 physical.

Mim | 18 comments I'm a mood reader I can read 5 or more books a week or none to whole month 😅 it seems May is may Achilles heel since I have no mood to read now 🥲
For me mostly the distracting thing is my phone. I read and suddenly I'm scrolling reels 🤯 so I set my phone far away from me now 😁

For reading fast I just kinda start reading fast 😅 and do not hang on to each words too much. Just that you will know what the sentences means. That helped me to read faster. 😬

Lilly | 9 comments Around 2 books a week, depending on content. I don't count listening to audiobooks on that. Reading everyday even for a bit when too busy helps to increase reading speed

Aashvi | 44 comments i read anywhere between 1 to 5 books a week. a few things i'd recommend is knowing what you like or don't like (which you will only get to know by reading more so this is kinda useless), not forcing yourself to read, reading a couple different books at once if you can handle it because you can still read if you're bored with any one book, and then just picking up whatever you feel like reading at the moment.

alofa (yehet_unknown) | 9 comments Smth that helps me personally is reading on my kindle or phone! I feel like I read 10x faster on there since all I’m doing is swiping pages compared to when I’m reading a physical book where I lowkey feel daunted from how much I have left to read. Also, so you’re not wasting your money getting an ebook and it turning out it’s not for you, try it out using the app/website Libby with your library card first :)
