She looks at her father then Adam before pulling Max into another room, but before he cans say anything she kisses him

He's startled at first, but kisses her back and pulls her closer. He pulls back "Celeste?"

She has tears in her eyes "I-Im sorry...." she looks away and slowly steps back "I have to... f-for my family"

"Celeste you can't. Let me find the money. Please." He catches her wrist before she can leave

She shakes her head "Please don't make this harder than it already is"

He stares after her as she leaves to talk to her father. When she's gone, he lifts Adam to his feet by his collar "if you even think about hurting her, it will be the last thing you ever do" he drops Adam back onto the floor and follows after Celeste
