Based on Saige's comment, yes, we need to go through the star for the first word.

I have 2 books to add (working on it now) so I am banking them. I guess we will get new letters after WEIGHTY is added?

I've added the new letters to the spreadsheet. I haven't gone through the banked tab to see if any will fit for this, but I'm sure we will be able to knock a few out.

If we want to use the 7 letter word, Farebox, someone will need to read for X.
Does anyone have a book they are currently reading that will fit? If not, I can read Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao. It's a pretty long book so it might take me about 4 or 5 days. Or we can wait and use the 6 or 5 letter word that does not include the X. I'm game for whatever everyone wants to do.

I also looked at the banked tab and some books can be moved over. I did not touch anything yet. I figured we can figure out what word we want to spell first.

Either way, I think we have to read for X before we can post because we have to read for all active letters before we can post for the word.

I'll look through and see if I can find any with X that might be a quicker read.

I believe you’re right Jamie. We have to read for all active letters regardless of the word we want to spell so the banked tab can be used up.

I may be able to take a look at it in a little.

I found a book with an X as well. I have to read one more book before this one. If anyone finishes before me, I'll just bank it for the next X we get lol

I just finished a Q book, so I'll be putting that in banked for when we finally get that letter.

We could also do some 8-letter words. Barefoot, Boxthorn, and Hoofbeat. Using the T in WEIGHTY.

FAREBOX using the E in WEIGHT will give more points though, lol. so just ignore me over here.

I'll just highlight them and then leave them on there until Saige accepts them.

Hiya! Just wanted to drop in and clarify - now that we're past the first round, you don't need to read for all 10 letters before adding a new word. So if you'd like to spell something now without an X book, go ahead! Just remember that the letters don't disappear unless you use them, so you will need to read for X eventually

I put our new letters on the spreadsheet. I haven't gone through the banked tab yet to see if we can fill in any of them. I'm guessing we will be able to fill most if not all.

I started an audiobook that works for the letter U. I won't be done with it until tomorrow morning, though. I won't take the spot on the spreadsheet in case someone finishes a book that works for that letter.

Hi everyone. We got new letters and I figured I could go ahead and post for them. We will need to work on a word though. I'm not great at sorting these out but these are the letters we now have to work with:

E, O, J, D, S, T, H, V, B, M

Any suggestions?

We could do JOSHED in O4-O9

S would be added to PINKOS

Or JOYED with Y in WEIGHTY. I think it’s about a 3 pt difference if I did the math correctly.
