Which English mystery would you like to read with us during August? Please choose a more modern or contemporary mystery this time; anything from about 1960 onwards. Thanks 😊

Thanks Luffy.

Let's have another nomination please.

Jessica | 18 comments I just breezed through a series by Kerry Wilkinson that starts with The One Who Fell.

I'm on book four now. There are lots of little threads left dangling to keep you interested and it's on kindle unlimited.

Let's have another nomination for a modern English mystery 😊

Sharon | 44 comments I haven't red this one yet, but it looks good to me:

A Small Death in the Great Glen by A.D. Scott.

It was published in 2010. The story is set in the 1950s.

It does sound good, doesn't it Sharon? Aw, but the author is Scottish, not English, so it does not fit our rules for a group read. What a shame. If you do read it, please tell us about it in our Scottish/Celtic authors' thread!

Would you like to suggest another one? Anyone?

Nic Scanlan-Dyas | 4 comments There’s an audiobook I’ve been meaning to listen to, not sure it if can count. ‘We Play Games’. English author, Sarah A Denzil. It’s one of those big cast audiobooks which are fun, but I can’t vouch for the author.

Yes, that's perfect, thanks Nic! It's on audio, kindle and paperback, so if it wins, everyone can take their choice 😊
