Natasa (natasa79) | 12 comments Sounds interesting! How do we choose the books, will there be a list or do we have to hunt the titles on our own :)

Samantha, I'm daft sorry, just noticed the links with the shelves :) It's been a long day, my apologies...but I would definitely love a rec...but before I bother anyone, I'll see if something grabs my attention, thx a lot!

Natasa (natasa79) | 12 comments Oh cool!!! The list is enormous and of course there are many titles that I have marked to-read...I know one thing for sure, I want to avoid YA, it's just not my cup of tea. I've heard of New Adult, whatever that is?

Last question, promise! We choose 5 books in this challenge? Do we have a time frame, I mean a deadline?

The challenge is runs for a month. So a month is the time frame.

Well 5 books is not a problem, but I'm already 3 books (maybe even 4) already booked out so to say lol

Can we read less?

Sorry for so many questions, I'm 'new in the neighbourhood', hope you understand...some groups are very tight on their rules and some very loose, so it would be good to know if I can challenge myself considering it's already 13th of April and I have something like 2 weeks for this challenge of 5 books...or is it a month from the date of the first Mod's post?

I'm totally shutting up after this one, promise!

Five books is need to be entered in the draw for the prize.

so read 5 books equal a chance to win the prize.

Books read that month so you if you want can read books ahead of time but rating them beforehand won't count. So you can only rate them on that month.

Arielle Rae Aguilar | 43 comments Cool! This will be easy as pie, considering almost all the books I read has a female as one of the main characters :)

New Adult has characters around the ages 18-26, and bridges the gap between YA and Adult
Some say that it's not as tame as YA, but not as... Adult, but I've seen some that disproves that ;)
It's a really interesting genre to read

Natasa (natasa79) | 12 comments Arielle Rae, thx for explaining :)
You obviously read some of new adult, any good new adult urban fantasy or anything paranormal...scifi, whatever you think you loved :)

Robiii | 11 comments Does a series count separately each of the book or as a whole?

You're welcome!
I have to say though, that people have different definitions of New Adult, so it's all really based on people's opinion
Some recommendations
Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning really good UF series
Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout PNR/SF
Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout PNR/SF

Gabriel's Inferno (Gabriel's Inferno, #1) by Sylvain Reynard is one of my faves (great writing) and is considered NA by others (I personally think it's Adult, but the line really is blurry) and it's contemporary, though if you squint a bit, it could be considered fantasy/paranormal
The author of this book has started another series though, which is paranormal, if you're interested

I have to admit though, New Adult is more known for having Romance (more specifically contemporary romance, but there are others) books rather than any other genre... See this: https://www.goodreads.com/genres/new-...

You count each book in a series as one book read.
