When I'm not working or actively reading, I love posting cozy, bookish content on the socials. Besides my book obsession, I'm into writing, binging movies/TV shows, and gaming. I also love to travel but I'm a total homebody – nothing beats a cozy night with a good book.
I love chatting about books and making new bookish friends who love reading as much as I do.

Anyways, I really enjoy talking about books and I'm excited for this!

I’m honestly just now re-entering my reading era. I hate that I ever stopped! I’m into romance, fantasy and horror. I’m currently reading Fairy Tale by Stephen King, and can’t wait to chat and make friends on here for more recs!
Happy to be here. :)

I haven't been reading much these past few years, but I'd like to go back to this passion of mine once more. Reading has helped me get out of a depression before, I'm hoping it will do it again, but my free time is not much, and, if I'm being honest, I'm too lazy to pick up a book most days.
I hope to make some new friends while I'm here. I'm making an effort not to ghost goodreads and actually getting back to reading, but I can't promise I'll be very active in this group.

in terms of tv shows I love kdramas but I haven’t watched many, am a lifelong tvd stan (damon and klaus are superior) and my fav kdrama is doom at your service/my demon. hope to have fun in this group 🙃

My name is Lindsay. I live in the Bay Area in California. I recently got back into reading last year and completed 90 books when I set out to read 40. I guess I like to read:) I have explored Audiobooks the past few years and recently started using Kindle. I do like physical books, however I find listening to books helps doing most other things enjoyable. Since getting back into reading, I have watched far less TV, which I don’t miss. I read all genres but my favorites are mystery/thriller and fiction.
Other hobbies and interests of mine are hiking, photography, puzzles and knitting. I enjoy going to concerts and traveling. I’m an extrovert and love meeting new people.
I’m excited to be more active on Goodreads and join reading groups to meet new people.

I am Judas Bone. I go by he/him and in my mid 20’s.
I enjoy reading and love gothic/horror, poetry, mystery, and crime genres (also enjoy manga!) I am not a big fan of romance or YA, but don’t mind writing that type of genre. Junji Ito, and V.C Andrews (both original and ghostwriter) are my all time favourite authors.
At the moment, I am working on small game projects at home, and going back to school in 2025. Haven’t decided on what courses to take yet (leaning on something with literature.) I hope to become an author one day :)

Other than reading I enojy movies/tv-shows, walks in nature, love animals, tattoos, art and most things fantasy.

In my real life, I just joined a silent book club (which I’m really excited about) and mostly spend my free time reading, or adventuring.

My name is Kylie. I mostly like fantasy and horror, but I also love reading psychological thrillers, suspense, and historical fiction. My favorite non-fiction categories include history, current events, How-to books, psychology, and nutrition.
Outside of reading I have a dogsitting business and a husky I love named Aeris. I like fitness, cooking, makeup, sewing, crafts, writing, technology, video games and cosplay.
I hope I can make friends and feel free to add me if you like!

I am Thomas, I love reading but at the moment mostly non fiction. I also love thrillers which means I set myself up regular disappointment

I'm Sam and this is my 2nd year as a bibliophile.
I'm super into Romantasy/Fanfictions right now but I've been exploring different genres and I'm very excited because this would be my first book club!!
Apart from books, I consider myself a cinephile and would like to discuss and share books/films/shows with you guys
R. F. Kuang and V. E. Schwab are my favourites at the moment.

I'm Nicole former YA Librarian and now stay at home mom trying to pursue their dream of being a writer.
My favorite genres are fantasy, thriller, romance, and historical fiction. I used to read mainly YA but now read mainly adult. V.E. Schwab, Leigh Bardugo, and Jennifer Donnelly are some of my favorite authors.
Besides books I love doing lots of artsy things like drawing, coloring, as well as a diamond painting enthusiast.
Feel free to send me a friend request if you are interested in interacting and possibly doing buddy reads :)

I just joined and thought I would introduce myself. I'm Michelle and have been on Goodreads since 2012. Some of my favorite hobbies are reading, genealogy, gardening, Pokemon Go, and traveling. I read a wide variety of genres and have many favorite authors. It's really hard to pick just one 😁

I'm Mary and I'm from Northern Ireland, U.K.
And I would like new book friends.
I'm on here daily and would like new book friends. I like to read most genres of books 📚

Hi everyone I’m sowaibah! A mouthful, I know! But I love reading and I thought, no, no, I KNEW that I had to join a good group and this. Is. The. One! Xoxo

I can read any adult fiction and nonfiction if interesting and well-written, but I gravitate towards a more literary style of dystopian, horror, contemporary (specially women's and queer fiction). A book has to entice some curiosity in me; great characterisation and possibly development; plot is optional. I love a good grey or unlikable character, and stories that makes me uncomfortable (but it must have a point of view). But hey, I'm not all that serious. I love a good sharp satire and high fantasy (I'm a Tolkien and Bradley child), whimsical Japanese literature and manga and anime. In summary, I like many books and the art and form of literature. I like to think I'm welcoming and kind, but a bit shy. So feel free to add me, send messages or comment in my posts!

Hi Carl, and welcome! (I'm not a mod, just a participant like you 😄). I'm a multi-genre reader too, and particularly like women's and Queer fiction too! (Alongside a healthy dose of YA and easy reads hehe)
Massive child of Tolkien here too yay! It takes a bit of getting used to, working out challenges and buddies etc but everyone is super friendly

Ps.: oh, I posted my favourites of each month. There might be some interesting women books XD

I saw the thread is restarting (I just picked up a copy from my local library) and realized there's a lot here that peaked my interest!
A mood reader to my core, I'll try any genre.
Past reads that set the bar for me would be N.K Jemisin's The Broken Earth trilogy, I need a love level equal or greater than Jamie and Claire of the Outlander series and man oh man, do I love some Pillars of the Earth level historical fiction.
Anywhoos - hope to join in more and I get the lay of the land here :)
Happy reading!

My name is Brittany and I’m new to the group!
I’ve never joined a group before but I look forward to expanding my library and hearing others opinions on books!
A little about me, I’m 30, married, we have two sons, one dog and one cat, we live in Florida so it’s always hot and sunny!. I work for a specialty pharmacy and work from home. Whenever I have spare time I like to read, volunteer or meet up with friends 😊 I also enjoy time with my family, arts and crafts, museums and tending to my garden 🪴
I’m really excited to get to know everyone! 😊

I am Priscilla. I am an avid and eclectic reader. Currently reading;
"The Nickel Boys" - Colson Whitehead
"The Freaks Came Out to Write" - Tricia Romano
"The Walking Dead, Compendium 1"
- Robert Kirkman

I’m Anna. A mother of two and a teacher from Sweden who just started reading again this year. My pacing is good, but better if I’m being challenged.
One of my students, a twelve year old hockey-loving boy dared me to finish 40 books before summer break - and I did it! It was brutal.
I was rewarded with a shrug. He hadn’t even opened his “Fellowship of the Rings” all year long.
I guess I realized I should only read to impress myself.
So that’s what I do now.
I love thrillers and suspense, just discovered Grady Hendrix! I also like classical horror like The exorcist and Rosemary’s baby.
In Sweden we have a reading challenge for grade 4 in the fall, Läsutmaningen, and I plan on acing that with my students. And here I go again with the challenges…
Well, have a nice end of summer and hopefully your reading goals get more splashes than mine.
