How do you think Galby will die? A sword through the gut? A spell of unfathamable might? He trips on a rock?

message 2: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan | 19 comments i'm thinking that he'll die by the sword, from either eragon or murtagh. maybe roran, but i doubt it. they're the major characters either in the position to (eragon or murtagh) or who seems important enough to paolini to warrant the right to kill galby.

Heydi garcia (heyd213) | 17 comments i totaly know that he'll die cuz ERAGON will kill him!!! duh!

True... Eragon will kill him. But I ask the how, he'll do it?

~♥Alyssa♥~ wrote: "I really really really want Shruikan to kill Galbatorix. "

I think that... but maybe the dragon wounds him. And Eragon finishes?

Mike again wrote: "i'm thinking that he'll die by the sword, from either eragon or murtagh. maybe roran, but i doubt it. they're the major characters either in the position to (eragon or murtagh) or who seems importa..."

Very likely.

*cough* How do we know he's going to die?

message 9: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Like, maybe Galby is fighting Eragon and Eragon loses his sword and Glaby is about to kill him, maybe Shruikan will dive out of nowhere and scoop up Galby in his claws, then drop him so Eragon can grab his sword and kill him. I dunno.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Tara wrote: "*cough* How do we know he's going to die?"

Oh, now that would be fucked up! Like... sparing him... or worse he becoming good and "peace" all over. I want to see some blood, I humbly say.

Not knowing is the fun about it, eh?

message 12: by Anggia (new)

Anggia | 29 comments maybe eragon will kill him but he will also die in the process
but i don't like sad endings

message 13: by Thomas (new)

Thomas (artangel) i don't think Eragon will be the one to kill him, but ultimately, he'll die by his own foolishness!

Michael Dolan | 19 comments ~♥Alyssa♥~ wrote: "I really really really want Shruikan to kill Galbatorix. "

i hadn't considered that, really. but that would be a great moment.

message 15: by Trish (new)

Trish (sugarbones) | 1 comments I think the Saphira will take a chunk of him and Eragon will finish him off with magic.

message 16: by Air (new)

Air Foot | 27 comments i think eragon will become a shade and kill he can make a deal with durzas spirits remember he said one day you will have to choose between me and galbitorix i think that was forshadowing

message 17: by Michael (last edited Dec 28, 2009 03:08PM) (new)

Michael Dolan | 19 comments wow, i don't remember that, but it would be epic, and a great story device. when did durza say that?

message 18: by Air (new)

Air Foot | 27 comments first book when eragon was captured and durza came into his cell

message 19: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan | 19 comments oh yes. hmm... perhaps. i thought he meant that comment in reference to interrogation, but it may well have been foreshadowing.

message 20: by Manasi (new)

Manasi I have a feeling that Eragon will kill him, but with Murtagh's gelp.

Or something like that.

message 21: by Air (new)

Air Foot | 27 comments yea butyou have to explore all possibieties i mean pallini might want to make the ending you never expect like erogon going for help and says he wont return without it and never does but then theres not much cloure unless he dies searching 100 yaers later or so but then there whuld be a storry there and triana will probably become a shade or at least one of the varden will why else make sorrcery so dangerus in his book if theres one thing i learned when wrighting my book its aourthers never incloued ussless info

message 22: by Ammon (new)

Ammon Christensen | 20 comments i think that because we have making all these guesses paolini wont do any of these so that we will all b surprised! either that or hes getting ideas from these comments...lol

message 23: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments It's suicide, Galby will kill himself or try to kill eragon but killed himself in the process.

message 24: by Anggia (new)

Anggia | 29 comments try to kill eragon but killed himself in the process,, it's a good idea :D

message 25: by Ammon (new)

Ammon Christensen | 20 comments maybe bringing murtagh back 2 life but dies maybe?

message 26: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Ehh, he knows that it's impossible to bring someone back to life, so he wouldn't try; besides, he doesn't care about Murtagh. Though everything is possible. And I like the "tries to kill Eragon and kills himself in the process" idea.

message 27: by Anggia (new)

Anggia | 29 comments ^right, galbatorix doesn't care about murtagh so why he try to bring him to life and endangering his own life
It's impossible

message 28: by Ammon (new)

Ammon Christensen | 20 comments unless he just THINKS he can bring ppl back. and then 2 prove it he shows eragon...but dies in the process...and then murtagh is alive and not under oath!

message 29: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Yay! That would be a happy ending...but somehow, I don't think it will end that neatly.

message 30: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan | 19 comments no, that ending just isn't satisfying. it's far too perfect. i'm sorry, but the ending usually just isn't good unless a protagonist dies.

message 31: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments the Hero will not die, it's in the 3 phropecy, "Eragon shall travel out of Alegesia forever" stated by Angela.

message 32: by Anggia (new)

Anggia | 29 comments ^it's remind me about lord of the rings ending 'the hero (in that case: frodo) leave middle earth forever'

message 33: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments come to think of it

message 34: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Thomas (Brom) | 74 comments Ammon wrote: "unless he just THINKS he can bring ppl back. and then 2 prove it he shows eragon...but dies in the process...and then murtagh is alive and not under oath!"

that is very likly. u gotta remember galby is very overconvdent about his powers.

message 35: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Thomas (Brom) | 74 comments if eragon dies then he would b leaving alegesia forever or maybe the next person that takes over will rename the land.

message 36: by Haley (new)

Haley (sansmerci) | 6 comments I think that Eragon will kill Galby, with Saphira's help ofcours. But then, i think he will be mortally wounded and he asks Saphira to bind herself to Roran, if that is possible, so that she doesn't die to

message 37: by Michael (new)

Michael Dolan | 19 comments hmm... interesting. i have become increasingly disenchanted with the cliched themes of eragon, but it is a good story. i still think that it would be best if eragon dies though... or arya, or orik. maybe roran...

message 38: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Thomas (Brom) | 74 comments i don't think that could happen. galby used very dark magic to force his dragon to serve him. eragon just doesn't strike me as the kind of person to use dark magic. and remember a rider can no more hurt their dragon than they can themselves n it would hurt saphira to live without eragon.

message 39: by Haley (new)

Haley (sansmerci) | 6 comments true. i just want the book to come out so we can stop wondering and know!!! and i also think that eragon needs to die, he can't have arya and she's important, and orik too important to the dwarves to dy. and roran could take eragons place among the varden.

message 40: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments I want Roran to die.

message 41: by Harpoon (new)

Harpoon ... | 1387 comments NOOOOOOOOOO

message 42: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments how could you want that!

message 43: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Well... First of all, I don't like him. He's not the most realistic character. He's also annoying. Secondly, it would be a great plot twist. It would make sense - Eragon would see how dangerous it is for him to be attached and to focus on individauls rather than all of Alagaesia. It could be a tool for character development and it would be interesting to see Katrina's reaction. Thirdly, he would make an awful king, and if he's dead, he can't be king like it seems he might be.
Unfortunately, I don't think Roran will die. He's "invincible," and like somebody said, he represents the strength of the human race without magical aid. (But it's not believable, really. He's a weak character.)

message 44: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Thomas (Brom) | 74 comments I don't like Roran, but hes really not weak. i personaly would do anything for the women i love. i would die for her. i would lie for her. id cry for her. i really would wade thur a sea of blood if it mean i get to hold her in my arms again. he repersents the human race for one yes, but i also believe that he repersent the stranght of a persons love n what someone is willing to do for the person they love.

message 45: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments I didn't mean he was weak, sorry. He's a really good fighter, of course. I should clarify. By a "weak character," I meant he is a poorly-constructed character. And I have nothing against what he does for Katrina. That's really the only thing I liked about Roran. It was so sweet and awesome. I just don't like the REST of his personality. Love is definitely his strength.

message 46: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments hm. well, he is a little shallow. he's kind of the white knight.

but he's more complicated in where he will kill whatever it takes to save Katrina.

(possibly including people that have been his friends)

message 47: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments Which isn't right, by the way. I mean, killing friends and strangers to save one person. Sure, if he loves her, it's great that he'll do so much for her. But you have to cut your losses, and you can't justify killing so many people for the life of only one person.

message 48: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments i dunno, i think roran would do ANYTHING.

message 49: by ~♥Alyssa♥~ (new)

~♥Alyssa♥~ (lyssie123) | 592 comments He would, yeah. But that doesn't make it right.

message 50: by Brianne (new)

Brianne (iliketoreadbooks) | 588 comments well, right or not, oooh...

i thought you meant I was wrong.
