Sarah (wynchs) | 19 comments Oh something else I wanted to ask but not sure which thread is most appropriate. Why is it Pepsi in this world and not coca-cola? I prefer Pepsi so I wonder if J D Robb does too?

message 152: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I have had this exact thought, since I am an exclusive Coke drinker...there is mention of it in one of the later books, so I have to assume Nora prefers Pepsi...

message 153: by Mary (new)

Mary | 208 comments Most likely that's the case. I'm pretty sure that Coke has been mentioned a few times...

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I like root beer.... I THINK it was mentioned once?

Patricia Evans (pvevans) | 47 comments I have a question.

I'm too lazy to go back and look through all the books to figure out which one I'm thinking of...so hopefully you guys will know off hand...

I am looking for the book where someone is trying to kill Roarke using virtual reality glasses. There is a scene where Eve puts on the glasses and has a sex scene with three ? guys and she feels like she cheated on Roarke (lol).

It's been SO long since I read it I can't remember much else about it....

message 157: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Rapture in Death. The bad girl was Dr Ott. Eve used Cerese Duvane's VR goggles and felt guilty about the sexual activity, thinking she had been unfaithful to Roarke

message 158: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Evans (pvevans) | 47 comments THANK YOU. Now I can pull it off my bookshelf and read it. lol

Patricia, uh, we have a number of In Death savants in this group that will rapidly respond to these type questions and Dawn is one of them:)

message 160: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments No problem. There is usually someone around to answer these questions.

message 161: by Dawn (new)

message 163: by Nikki (new)

Nikki | 79 comments HI All, This is Nikki.I have a question. I can't remember which book this scene is from and need help to find it!! It's a scene where Eve and Roarke have a fight and she closes the door to her office and sleeps there for the night. Roarke is angry next morning and tells her he won't have his wife closing the door on him.

Does anyone remember which book is it from?

message 164: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I can't remember, but now I want to know, too!

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Aww, Sheri you're the best! I found it in Chapter 7 and here's what he said:

"I won't tolerate locked doors. I've got my limit, and you reached it. If you don't want to share our bed, if you don't want me near you, then you say so. But I'm damned if you'll turn away and lock the door."

message 171: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments This was always irritating to me, since he was hiding stuff from het, and his promise when he first showed her the office, he told her she could lock herself in anytime, whether he was home or not.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Here's more of his speech.

"Well, I've made changes of my own, and given way more times than I can count. You can have your privacy when you need it, and your neurotic little snits, but I won't put up with my wife closing doors between us."

"It's just come full circle. I can't change what I am, and what I've done. And wouldn't even for you." He lifted his gaze to hers, held it there. "I'm telling you not to lock the door."

She gave a bad-tempered shrug. "I knew it would piss you off."

"Mission accomplished.'

That passage makes me want to read Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb all over again! I just love it when Roarke stands his ground with Eve! Those lines give me shivers! lol

message 177: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 2651 comments Can anybody help? I'm trying to remember which book it was that Eve finally talks to Summerset in his little apartment about the life before Rourke the legit businessman.
These two are always at each others throats yet have this soft spot that neither of them would ever admit to.

message 178: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 127 comments That sounds like Portrait In Death, when Summerset was injured. Does that sound right?

message 179: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
That was my first guess. It could also be Judgment in Death.

message 180: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I think she had two conversations with him in his rooms in Portrait. (view spoiler). Man I hope this spoiler thing works.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Yes, your spoiler works! So proud of you:)

message 182: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Whew! I started to put it in without the precaution and then remembered at the last second lol.

message 183: by Sara ♥ (new)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments If you forget, you can always go back and edit your comment!! At the bottom right of each of your comments (just above the next comment) it says, "reply | edit | delete | flag *" and you just push edit! :)

message 184: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I know, but that isn't an option from the iTunes app. I really wish Goodreads would fix that. As it stands now, I have to leave the app and come back in through the web.

message 185: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
I've given up on the app because it has so many limitations, especially for me as a moderator.

message 186: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Oh I know. I can't read a spoiler from here either. But it works if I am just checking the notifications.

message 187: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 2651 comments Thank you ladies. I think it is portrait I'm thinking of.
I'm also glad I'm not the only one that took a while to get the spoiler thing going ( only figured it out yesterday and feeling so proud of myself). Not to mention the edit button.

I downloaded the app and it just put me off. It looks nothing like this and is so uninviting I just never use it . Only problem this side is i get kick off frequently but I'd rather that than go to iTunes app
Goodreads please assign someone to look into that

Through the App Store on my iPad. They seem to pay more attention there because it's visible to other users.

At the bottom of your iPad home screen, you'll see an icon for "App Store." Open it, go to "Featured" and in the top right section you'll see the search box/area. Type in goodreads and when the app is displayed, DO NOT press open. Just press the big "G" and you'll be taken to a page that has the following:

Details/ Ratings and Reviews/ Related

Press Ratings and Reviews and then select "Write a review."
