Jennifer (jsills3) | 54 comments It varies. Some months I only buy one or two. This month has been ridiculous. I think I have bought something like 25-30. There are two Borders within 20 minutes of where I live that are going out of business.40-60% off everything. Plus I went to a used bookstore yesterday. Had to rearrange shelves today.

Oooh, that'd be hard to pass up. >_<

So far I've bought 4/5 books the past 3 weeks.

Michele | 70 comments The number of purchases per month at our house varies greatly. We also have a Borders going out of business here so I just spent $150 and before that I went to a lit conference where I bought a bunch of books there too. Additionally, I live in a household where there are 4 of us wanting to buy and read books. So, that $150 includes all 4 of us. I'd say we average about 5 books a month, new and full-price. However, we do go on occasional book-shopping trips (to places that have lots of good used bookstores) and then we come back with literally boxes of books that we don't know where to put in our house. That is our biggest problem: where to put them all!

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) when I actually have money I can come home with oh probably around 10 new books each month or so, once again depending on my funds.

Andrea (berry68) | 3 comments I recently have gone a little crazy with buying books!I get them on Amazon at a really great price.I've been ordering about 6-8 a week.I can't help it!!There's just so many great books out there!!I've tried getting them at the library but to my luck they are usually out or on hold forever. If I want to read something I don't want to wait weeks to get it!I do need to slow down on my spending though.

Mellie Dumas (abitofyou) | 3 comments Wow! this is intense! I buy at the very most 4 a month. Unless there is a special, then I'll buy more accordingly however I cannot imagine even reading 10 books a month! Do you read all the books you buy in a month in that month? Dang, I'm a slow reader.

Samantha Mullins (hixxup79) lol I just bought like 5 books today...would have bought more but my card was tapped out lol.

Ellen (elliearcher) If I buy only 4, I'm doing great. I actually try to sneak them in so my daughter (who pays the bills) doesn't know. But now with my Kindle that's a no go. But it's so easy (& addictive) to order them online-I've bought 3 books by accident-lucky Amazon refunded!
But I often buy 4-6 books in a month. The only way not to is to stay away from bookstores (& now the internet).
But I have 31 books out from the library.
