Ruth The whole Gardner theft is fascinating. What's even more fascinating is they've never been able to solve it.

Dvora Treisman It looks very interesting indeed. I've also added it to my list (not online), but I think I'll read Jonathan's The Man Who Made Vermeers first.

I just bought Jonathan's book. It does look good!

Divvy | 70 comments You guys will enjoy The Man Who Made Vermeers. I took a break from my thesis to read it last Christmas break. It's definitely good stuff (well researched & lively reading.)
