The Next Best Book Club discussion

Steinbeck!!! Especially East of Eden as it's so rich I seem to get more and more out of it with each read. Also Pearl S. Buck's The Good Earth for the same reason.

For me, my favorites authors are those I read and re-read on a regular basis, but occasionally my children will pick up a book I remember loving as a kid. That will, invariably, prompt me to read a lot of that author or the series, if it is one. I like to read alongside them, and that's the perfect way to do it.

Doing that with Thomas B. Costain now. Haven't read one of his books about the Plantagenets since I was a teenager, and I found one at the library that I hadn't read.
