Hi, April! Welcome to the group:)

I was so happy to see this group exists! I'm Lauren, from Northern California.
A friend suggested I read the Fever series. Thank goodness she waited until the first four books were out, so I didn't have to wait a year between each of them. Because I wouldn't have been able to. I'm sure I would've driven someone crazy, probably myself. Waiting for book five was very, very unhappy-making. :)

KMM is amazing. The woman can write a cliffhanger like no other. When Mac turned Pri-ya, I remember thinking: KMM had better not begin the book with "it was just a dream" or I will kill someone." :) But I couldn't see a way out for Mac. And then....OMG. Seriously messed-up and great stuff. She writes herself into the tightest of corners and then manages to write herself out of them without cheating. Amazing. She is such a fantastic writer.

Oh, and I love Mac's tenacity, and Barrons? He is exactly how I like my fictional men. Incredible.

I've spent the last few days thinking about this series. I haven't read it in...2 years maybe? But I have been talking to people about it a lot recently. And most of them have never read it. They are all big PR and UF readers, but they know nothing of Fever. The poor things. I feel so badly for them. Ha

Why do you think that is? IMO, this series was one of the first true crosses of UF and PR and is certainly one of the best. So why haven't as many people read it as the Ward's, Frost's, or Cole's? Thanks

I have a genre-related question for you all. Do you consider the Fever series paranormal romance or urban fantasy?

I would say it's urban fantasy more than pr, or urban fantasy with a touch of paranormal romance? ha

Hi everyone! My name is Asser, 21 and from Philippines. I just finished Fever series last week. Yeah. I just discovered it last month from a group. I'm not even aware that this epic/amazing/addictive series exists. I mean, seriously, I'm reading the fourth book and I still don't know what Barrons is. It was really worth getting hooked on. :) My favorite from the whole series? Oh, man. That's the hardest question I've ever encountered in my life. Lol. I guess I love it because of Barrons. Yeah, Barrons. God, he's so damn sexy. Sexiest book-based character I've ever read about. :D Love this series. Big-time.

Ah! The fourth book's cliffhanger is a killer, isn't it? For me, it's a toss-up between that one and the pri-ya one.

I think you are right in that this is almost an epic series, very remniscient of a high-fantasy type series. It's very complicated, but IMO it all comes down to Mac and Barrons. They are fantastic, aren't they?

Well, Barrons is not shabby. LOL But I don't like Mac.

How can you not like Mac!?!? :-)

Agreed that Barrons is far more interesting, and I lived for the scenes with him in them, but I like Mac. How can you get through five books in her POV without liking her?

I liked Mac, as well. It's Dani's books I'm worried about getting through. Not that I don't like Dani, but her POV grated on me in the Fever books... Hopefully she isn't as annoying in Iced:)

I wonder how anyone can like someone like Mac. It says a lot about the awesome world and other characters that I read the whole series even though I had to endure her.

Mac changes. She is a different person by Faefever. I'm rereading the series. By the time Faefever starts, she rocks. I don't know how anyone can not like Mac.

We have to agree to disagree. Some like her, some hate her. ;-)

Well put! :) do you think you'll like Danny? I'm worried I will hate her. I dont know if I can forgive her. But that's why I'm rereading. Hoping she will grow on me.

I think Dani was an okay character but we only saw glimpses of her and mostly through Mac. Being stuck in her head can be completely different. I just hope her language changed. LOL

I'm trying to soften toward her. We see her through mac's eyes mostly, but her part of the story in Dreamfever: remember when she takes over for a little while? That part was obnoxious. (view spoiler)[and of course she helped kill Alina (hide spoiler)].

I realize now that she sent those diary pages to help Mac know how much Alina loved her. So I am getting softer. :)

Yes, she did. But she never got a chance to tell Dani she forgave her. At the end of SF, they haven't spoken again since the night Mac found out:)

I know. That's why the blurb of Dani's book says she thinks Mac wants to kill her or something.

Hi everyone! My name is Brandy. I'm 27 and live in the southern U.S. My first introduction to KMM started a year ago when I decided to give the Fever series a try. I was a public librarian at the time and we were getting TONS of request for Shadowfever; I decided I had to know what the fuss was all about:)

I made my way through the Fever series really fast and felt completely lost when it was over. KMM has ruined all other book series for me! Shadowfever is definitely my favorite is the series, though I've also read quite a few of her Highlander books and love those as well.

Hey fellow KMM fans! My name is Rachel and I'm 18 and live in TN, USA.

I discovered this series through a friend in high school and from the first book I fell in love. I didn't put the series down until I finished every last book and once I did put it down, I went online to find all the extras and juicy gossip that others were saying. I was super pleased that the fan-base was larger than I thought and I love fan-girling over Jericho with everyone!

My favorite book was Dreamfever obviously! Hot and steamy, and I felt like I couldn't get enough of Mac and Barrons.

What isn't to love?!?!?!?!

Fever is my favorite series after the Sookie Stackhouse books. I randomly picked up the paperback Faefever in the store one day, haven't heard of KMM or the Fever books at that point. Decided it sounded pretty cool and bought it knowing it was third in a series. That night I bought book 1 and 2 online and waited until they came in to read and like you said once I got started, I couldn't stop! It was torture waiting a few months for Dreamfever. And jeez waiting for Shadowfever was even worse!

Anyway, glad you joined the group, and Brandy, you too!

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I decided to check into it and immediately fell in love with it. Mac is a very strong character, has strong woman power, which is why I love her. Barrons is so mysterious and brutal, which is why I love him. I love all the books but I gotta say, Shadowfever is my favorite thus far. So much going on, secrets coming to light...well, I'm still reading it so hopefully my frustration will be eased and Mac and Barrons will finally get together, well you know, officially.

Susan Ee, the author of the YA urban fantasy Angelfall, recommended this series on her website.

Shadowfever really impressed me with the way Moning managed to tie everything together at the end, but it's kind of a toss-up between that and Dreamfever, purely for the rehab-a-la-Barrons scene.

Really enjoyed the mythological lore, the action, suspense, and Mac's development throughout the series. And god, Barrons. Barrons = life-ruiner.

I discovered this serie on fanforum last year. This series is what made me start reading again.
My favorite book is Shadowfever. I thought it was the perfext conclusion to a perfect series. I got everything that I wanted for an ending and more. Of course I'm glad it turns out that we will get more books but I would have been perfectly satisfied with Shadowfever.

I love this series because... I just do! I think Marc is an incredible character. She evolved all along the serie but she never changed... And of course Barron...he's just incedible.
Great characters, great world, great suspens, great romance (if we can call it romance,it's so much more than that)=Amazing series!

Hi! My name is Dana and I'm a Moning Maniac. I did not mean to be one, it just sort of happened. I've started reading the series after reading it being suggested on goodreads.com as a good paranormal read ... and what a great paranormal read! Well, what kept me reading was Mac's development from Rainbow Girl to "know your own worth" type of woman while still maintaining her sweetness... and of course, BARRONS! The ultimate uber alpha male :) ... I liked the first book best, the introduction to the series, and their first encounters :)

I'm in the middle of re-reading all of the books in anticipation for Iced. I'm half way through Dreamfever and I love rediscovering the whole world of Mac and Jericho. How could you not love JZB?

I know the feeling! I miss Mac and Barrons so much. I promise you won't be dissapointed when you finally get to ICED. It's a whole new POV, and Dani is a total deviation from Mac. (Don't worry, you get your Barrons fill with RYO!-lol)

Hi MM's =) I'm Kaarine, 30. I've been reading KMM since early 2000 and fell head over foot for her Highlanders.. and then all was eclipsed with Barrons. I read so often it's insane and since Barrons, I feel like I spend my time looking for a book better and there hasnt been any! I am a huge fan - went to FeverCon this year and will be attending every year after this!! The fever books read as one so the series is my top tier ever. I love the fever series because it's so atypical; the bad is good, the good is bad, the black is grey which is white which is black. LOVE this!

Hi's I'm Clare ....I read the fever series & was so enthralled with it that when it ended I felt as if I had been spat out of a shifting silver into my apt. Next to my paramour who is delicious (people tell him he looks like Russel Crowe constantly, so...he's no slouch but...)Barron's, I looked at him, smiled @ thought " ahh, what he doesn't know won't kill him" so with a gladiator sleeping in my bed I found "the alpha alternative" & imagined having a Barron's, it was a night to remember ...for me anyways :)I usually don't enjoy romance novels but I was so intrigued by Christian that I succumbed to her Highlander series, (which I was thrilled I was devouring them on mu kindle or my face blushing, & my sudden passionate behaviour would have been taunting me for the rest of Ny life. My fiance is an artist & a physics Prof. I always Kinda fancied him my own "Indiana Jones "in an abstract way, but those MacKelter men! Omg yummy.I'm completely doomed if I end up in Scotland :) The first attractive man that say's "Clare, lass...doona think of leaving this bar without paying your tab!"
