I discovered the series when a friend gave me #3 in the series, but I can't read out of order so I had to get the first 2 first. I have to say I didn't think that I would like this series just by reading the jacket of #3.

I think DreamFever was my favorite. Mac seems to have realized so many things so far. Her come back from being Pryia was great. I can't believe she wasn't more traumatized.

I like the series because of the changes Mac goes through. She is such a girly girl, but she has changed to what she needs to be as the time as gone on, but she still has those qualities at her core.

I have to say that I have just re-read the series, but this time around I listened to them on audio and the narrator did a great job and I think listening to them gives the books a different perspective.

I discovered the Fever series when it first released in 2006 in my Rhapsody Book Club selection and been a rabid fan since reading "Darkfever" and have the entire series and am awaiting with baited breath the arrival late this year of "Shadowfever" .
Favorite book so far is the entire series, cannot pick just one.....
I love the series because KMM has taken a little miss self centered snot and turned her into a seriously righteous human being in Mac, also does not hurt to read about the uber hunk Barrons and the fae Prince V'lane is not hard on the readers imaginative eye either... All in all the series captivates my mind with the drama, humor, wit and wonderfully written characters who have become good friends as written by the talented Karen Marie Moning...

2. I found Darkfever in my library, and I fell in love from day one. I immediately bought all the ones that were out and borrowed all the Highlanders. I've shamelessly pressed them on my friends, but no one loves them like I do.
3. I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite. I think each one that's taken me deeper into the series has been my favorite, so I'll say Dreamfever.
4. What's not to love? I like stories that pit forces of good against the rise of evil. The hot guys don't hurt, either! Barrons is a big part of why I like the series.

I'm obsessed with this series, and I have theories out the wazoo. I'm glad to finally find a place to share!

Hi All! I go by Zeek online, I'm 39 and live in the US. I've been reading KMM for some time and of course fell in love with the Mackeltars- natuarally I had to move on with KMM when she entered the Fever world. :)

Favorite book so far is Dreamfever. (I've reread it numerous times already and that's something I don't do often anymore!)

Although it took some time to get to this series- (had it in my tbr for awhile before I got to it!)- once I started, I didn't look up till I was done with every one released thus far. Barrons is so fascinating (and HAWT) and I love Mac, (I think she's a hoot!)... and the world they're in? Riviting.

As a friend remarked, it's not really a series- it's book segments- but I don't care. I'm hooked!

I was forced to read this book by a friend, ( but was intruged because I love Ireland and am going back this summer )
I really dont have a favorite book I like all of them but I hate Dani. I dont know why and I love love love Barrons
And why I love the series so much is because I really admire Mac she is beautiful and knows how to kick ass (thanks to Barrons) and I love Barrons and wish that he was an acutally person that I could keep in my closet and .... never mind so thats it

I was browsing through Barnes & Noble (before I knew of Goodreads!) trying to get new series suggestions, and someone recommended this series based on another series I had read & liked, so I went with it!
I feel as though the books got better and better, so I think Dreamfever is my favorite.
I love the series because of Barrons. End of story :D

2. I was actually reading a YA for adults group thread last week and there was a Fever series thread and from there I checked out the books on here saw the good ratings...This was last Thursday. I finished Dreamfever last night!

3. My favorites in order were:
Dreamfever, Bloodfever, Darkfever, Faefever.

4. I loved it because it sucked me in fast from page 1 and this was also my first real PNR/UF Adult type series (besides Sookie Stackhouse books which I like these but they did not really suck me in). The fever series introduced me to a whole new genre that I did not really know existed nor did I think I would enjoy it. But I was wrong and I am thankful I found them and read them!

Oh and I LOVE Barrons!

i was looking for a fae series and was recommended the fever series by a few people and loved it.

oh, god. such a hard question. seriously i dont knoe. its always hard for me to pick a favorite book out of a series that i love so much.

BARRONS! i love him. i loved the story about fae and there some great action in there and i really love the dialogue.

3. I honestly can't pick a fav book. The series as a whole is so awesome w/o one the others aren't complete to me. I lean towards Dreamfever though due to the Barrons/Mac hook-up.

4. The series gives me the opportunity to get lost in the great world that KMM creates for awhile. On top of that KMM gives us a great forum on her website where I've had the chance to make great friends and discuss loads of theories! Everyone should check it out.

My name is Angelique and I stumbled upon this series with the help of a local librarian who has this crazy crush on me. I asked him to help me find a Charlaine Harris novel and in an effort to keep our conversation going he kept pointing me in the direction of new series he thought I might like. And this was one of them. I finished the first four books i three days and now I'm hooked! There's no doubt the Dreamfever was the best so far, and I loved it because we saw more of Barron's emotions. I can't quite explain what it is about this series that I love so much, but I owe that librarian big time!

Hi everybody, I'm Lucia and I have just started with the series. Loving it so far. Can't wait to read them all, I heard book 4 is the best and that the first isn't as good as the rest, but I'll keep reading anyway because a friend told me this was the best series ever,lol.

I'm 23 years old and just getting started in the paranormal romance and the UF world. VALE recommended this series to me as well as all the others I have of this genre in my TBR pile. We know each other from College.

Hi everyone, My name is Michelle and I'm a Fever addict. I LOVE the series. I love to read but this is the only series (besides the Study series) where I am not only keeping the books but trying to find the hardcover for all the books. I'm 38 and live in CA. I read on average a book a day sometimes 2, with a full time job and two kids (ok, three kids with hubby, ok, 4 kids with hubby and dog). The series was recommended to me and I think I've recommended it to EVERYONE. I love the series because it is not simple. The story is complicated, the relationships are complicated and the characters are some of the best written characters EVER!

What do I hate about the series? It takes KMM forever to come out with a new book. I'm too impatient!

My favorite...it's tough....but I love the 4th, just because of Barrons probably......I also have a mad crush on barrons (sometimes bad is good, right) I think i was so drawn to the series because of the fantasy parts, I like my paranormal fiction, but this series really has me hooked, so now I'm gonna read the highlander novels....jut going backwards, that's me...

Hi everyone, I'm lisa from CA. I have always been an avid Moning fan from her Highland series. I put off reading the Fever series bc everyone told me she changed from romance to urban and last time that happened to a writer I adored (JR Ward) it left a bad taste in my mouth so I wasn't even going to read the series.

It's a good thing someone pushed me to read it because I started reading the series last Wednesday and finished the 4th book last night (Sunday). It took me 5 days to read them all. This has been the best series I've read. Oh, but, if Karen Moning was on this blog I'd tell her "WTF? Why did you end "Dreamfever" like that? If I was a crackhead and Moning was my supplier, she'd of given me crack and a pipe but not a lighter to smoke it. That's what I feel like. I'm not a crack head..okay that was a bad analogy but you get my point. It's like she has made me an addict but is withholding the goods. I CAN NOT wait until her final book.

Oh, and I'm happy for Moning that the series was picked up by Fox but they will NEVER find the perfect Jericho, Vlane or Mac in such common actors.

2. I found out about the series by a friend on a message board. We seem to have similar interest in books and she had read them a few months ago and said they were good. A couple months ago I found the first book at the library and finally decided to try it. OMG!! I was hooked. I read it in one night and was back at the library the next day to get the 2nd. Unfortunately they didn't have the rest and I had to go to a different library to get the 3rd. I was totally freaking out because the 4th book was checked out and overdue. I couldn't wait so I bought Book 4 on my Kindle. I was so obsessed with the series though that I went back and bought the first 3 books too & did an immediate reread and took over 10 pages of notes and have highlighted so many passages on my Kindle!!!! I have finally determined I am obsessed!!!

3. Probably Dreamfever because of the way Barrons brings Mac back from Pri-ya. He was so tender and patient. Getting her a Christmas tree and dancing with her to Tubthumping!! Loved it!!

4. I have determined that Urban Fantasy is probably my favorite genre. I love following one or more characters through many books. Seeing the way they grow and learn from their experiences. But the Fever series is so much more than that. KMM has weaved such an amazing storyline that is so intricately woven and the characters are so complex. I hate the cliffhanger endings too but it definitely hooks you. January 18 can not get here soon enough.

Hi Nikki, Welcome. I wanted to re-read the entire series too after I finished it but thought I'd wait until her final book was almost published.

I am obsessed too. It's been 2 weeks since I've read "Dreamfever" and each day it's getting a little bit easier but I still think about her darn series non-stop.

You know what else I think about? She came out with "Dreamfever" in Aug. 2009. Why the hell would she make her fans wait over a year for the final installment? That's total BS!

I have been reading them since the release of the third book, so I have been waiting years along with all of you!!!

I can honestly say I love every single Fever book equally because they are all great. My favorite part of the series though was when Barrons caught Mac with the MacHalo!!!! I love the freaking MacHalo!!! That part had me rolling!!!!

I love that scene, Nicole! If I would've been drinking something, it would have been flying out my nose. Too funny.

It is just such a good scene. Especially since Barrons rarely laughs. I was even laughing before he came into the scene, but when he did, I was like, embarrassed for her!! hahaha. I noticed little MacHalo love, and I had to say something!

Like everybody else I think that Dream fever was the best bok in the series as of yet....cant wait for the final book. And finally I loooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeee Barrons....absolutely irresistble.

Welcome Samina! What is it about Barrons? He is a fictional character. Why are we all so in love with him. I guess because I want him to be real and infatuated with me. lol

Hi, I'm KC currently living in NC, USA. The series was on my TBR for end of 2010. I was told to save myself some angst and wait until Shadowfever was released to start them. After hearing about Barrons from the Chloe Neill Goodreads group, I couldn't resist. I have not been disappointed! He is all that and a bag of chips - Barrons is...*sigh*. I'm addicted to the series, and now just as crazed as the rest of y'all!

My favorite books have been Bloodfever (I love how Mac comes into her own) and Dreamfever (completely roped in by the Mac/Barrons dynamic as well as the adventure parts).

Why do I love the series? It's the story and the non-stop action that keeps me guessing at every turn. I love a bada$$ female character and I always fall for the stand-offish, brooding heros (it can be traced back to my Darcy obsession). But what makes these books exceptional, IMO, is the writing - detailed descriptions, humor, dialogue, depth of emotion, etc. it's all there, even when I hate what is happening it makes it real to me.

A friend lent me the books and I am forever in her debt. i loved dreamfever... who wouldnt? although they are all awesome. will have to re-read in nov or dec.

the writing style is fantastic, gripping, makes you not want to put the book down. the characters are so sexy, i actually dreamed about v'lane and barrons after a delirious late night of reading.... it was a great dream

I know many of us are Stay at Home Moms (I am too) and I have a BA degree but I could never talk about these books to other educated friends because they would completely judge me. Hi, I'm Gaynell, I seem to be the oldie here at 56. I'm from Kentucky in the USA. I discovered KMM's Highlander series from reading PNR recommendations at Amazon. After reading them, I was hooked. I knew from reading threads that this series had cliffhangers. I was trying to wait until all were issued to start reading them. Obviously, I failed. Actually ending up ordering the first three books in hardcover, too. (Wanted to have the whole set hardcover). My favorite book was DreamFever because Barrons and Mac finally got together (even if they were under terrible circumstances). You could still see how much Barrons loved Mac from the way he treated her while trying to help her recover.

Dreamfever is my favorite, but the ending is killing me!!
The series are amazing. The characters are so well developed I feel like I know them. I love the tension and the romance between Mac and Barrons. I admire Mac she may frustrate me half of the time but she is brave and determine and she has become a hard kickass heroine. Barrons is well…. He is HWTH and so mysterious is impossible no to be obsessed with him.
It’s great to meet all of you and know I’m not alone with my obsession :)
