Susie (susiebw) | 4 comments I just joined this group because I'm really interested in all of the authors that you mentioned. I'm just wondering if this is still an active group, and if you're still interested in some discussions.

Susie (susiebw) | 4 comments I just added The Cement Garden, by Ian McEwan, to the group bookshelf - I hope that's okay with everyone. There were no other books on there, so this is the first, I guess.

I started reading it this morning, and hope to finish it by this weekend - I'll start a discussion thread on here when I finish it, and hopefully someone will join in. Let's get this group moving!

Mark (dogbrainz) | 1 comments Just a few recommendations for "WTF" style books:
John Dies at the End - David Wong
The Raw Shark Texts - Steven Hall
Rant - Chuck Palahniuk
House of Leaves - Mark Danielewski

Rob (boatbuilderm) | 2 comments John Dies at the End is great so far, I am about halfway through it right now. Did anyone ever read any Christopher Moore? Also 'Less Than Zero' by Bret Easton Ellis is probably one of my favorite WTF books. Once I finish with 'John Dies at the End' I will look up 'The Cement Garden'

Hi. I just joined the group and I'm curious what Cement Garden is about. The title is intriguing.

John Dies at the End is a great read.

Ellena I'm currently reading American Psycho and I'm quite disturbed. It makes me wonder is there something wrong mentally with Bret Easton Ellis? However, I think he might have a touch of genius because I struggle with putting the book down. Sort of like viewing a car crash. You want to look away but can't...
